Spec for 4 Shamans PVP (5 DPS with frost DK)

Hi, i am trying run 4 enhancement shamans along with a frost DK, and I see that spending 8 points into restoration really boosts the healing I can get out of my shamans MW5 procs.

When having...
[Spark of Life] (3/3)
Increases your healing done by 6% and your healing received by 15%.

This on adds to self healing with 21,9% according to EJ and not just 21%

and

[Focused Insight] (3/3)
After casting any Shock spell, your next heal's mana cost is reduced by 75% of the cost of the Shock spell, and its healing effectiveness is increased by 30%.

The 8 sec buff you get after casting a shock would be up most of the time, since shocks are a part of normal rotation.


Raw testing unbuffed shows something like this.

Greater Healing Wave without resto points 14-15K
Greater Healing Wave with the resto points 21-23K (Crits up to 33K)

And i cant see a huge loss in DPS specing away from talents in the elemental tree.

Might not be as useful running 5 shamans, but with just 4 and a DK it seams to help alot.



As a side note I'am also trying to figure out if i really need:
[Unleashed Rage] (2/2)
Increases your expertise by 8, and increases all party and raid members' attack power by 10% while within 100 yards of the Shaman.

..on all 4 shamans or if i could go with just one. How much do i gain from the 8 expertise in PVP?

I think it looks good. and Enhance should take it for PVP.

But the problem with enhances or rets (WOG healing) is that if you get to hit you win anyway without healing. When you need the healing (losing), you can't hit ! So you can have all the healing potential in the world, and can't use it. This is more on the arena side.

In world pvp or BGs, this healing is good for consecutive killing blows. Finish this group, recover with instant heals, and move onto the next group.
