4x Hunter + Healer

Excellent advice on the hunters vs. melee Nikita....I gotta start thinking of kill command as more than just my fallthrough cast on my dps macros.

I went with a priest, just makes more sense in the long run. I haven't played hunters since BC, I love the new changes:

No happiness (YAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!)
No ammo
No mana

So awesome. I don't plan on running heroics or anything with this group, mainly to just mess around with when I'm bored. If they can run some normal instances between 80-85 I'll be satisfied.

There is huge difference between PvP pets, and PvE pets. Turtle is the best PvE tank pet

Sorry to ask but.. Do i take 2x turtles? Or just one turtle tank the rest dps pets? PvE ofcourse :-)
At the moment i've got 2x turtles 1x Core hound and 1x wolf.

I just started MBing with my hunter. I modified Merc's survival macro to the following. It definitely needs tweaking. The first macro I used as a solo spam button and it worked quite well. The proc macro needs work. Input is always welcome.

Spam Sequence Macro

/assist focus
/castsequence reset=target/combat Serpent Sting,Steady Shot,Steady Shot,Steady Shot,Steady Shot,Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot

I just tested this and did just over 11k on the raid target dummy in ilvl 330 gear.

How many hunters are you running with?

MT - Turtle for 50 % reduced dmg spell
OT - Bear for reduced physical dmg taken buff
DPS - Shale Spider for kings buff
DPS - Silithid for Stamina buff
DPS - Cat for STR/AGI buff (you can take whatever you want here tbh)

On your hunter tank I strongly advice to get the 2 set bonus from tier5. Go check the bonus out on wowhead. And stack shitlaods of stamina and stamina/mastery proc trinkets on your tanking hunter

I think Hunters + healer are probably, next to arcane mages, the best possible PvE team.

With the pets tanking some of the 10 man raid content I would not be shocked in the least if most heroics once you get geared out, are more or less faceroll. Send pets, blow up with arcane/steady spam. Keep mend up and keep your heals ticking on the main tank. Set your healer to heal via a target of target macro.

Set your heals up in isboxer something like this.
Step 1
Target the target of your target.
Set focus

In another keybind
Heal focus via this macro
'/cast [target=focus,exists][target] (whatever heal you are using)

That macro will heal your focus if you have one, otherwise it will heal your target, or yourself if you cannot heal your target!

Probably setup a focus macro to quickly reset your focus to whatever the target is DPSing. Have a second key to actually do the heal.

So like key 1 = set focus off of target of target.
Key 2 = heal focus or target if no focus set.

Im running 4x hunter 1x priest.. Im playing the healer my self. Ive changed to that setup now. 1x Bear 1x turtle 1x Wolf (for crit) 1x Core Hound for Bloodlust. :-)
