4x Hunter + Healer

Got my 4 hunters up to 85 (1-80 in under 24 hours played) and...melee is just destroying me. They squat on you and you really can't do much. Disengage is nice for the solo hunter, but it really causes some LOS issues with boxing. Damage is under impressive (granted I'm not super geared at item level 349, but I have guns the dps equivalent of vicious guns) even with all 4 hunters and 4 pets pounding on something. The pets aren't the super killer BM pets I remember from the old days either. The team does have some cool novelty tricks (camo is pretty awesome for ranged guys). A noble idea, but overall very underwhelmed so far.

Last season my 4 hunters could blow up plate users in 2-3 sec. Keep gearing em up

Not giving up on them, just not impressed with the survivability or dps so far. It's always so depressing going from max level -1 to max level

The trick for when you get swarmed by melee is to use traps as much as possible, and use Kill Command to finish em off, since its kinda hard kiting melee as a multiboxer

If it's just one melee I can usually get them off/kill if I have a bit of healing, but 2 tend to eat me fast. My pets are usually out being offensive, so I gotta pull them back in to help be defensive. One big problem I'm having is I'm doing too much fire and forget with the pets, especially for a BM hunter. I rely on my gun damage and positioning and let the pets autopilot too much, especially in big brawls like AV/IoC/TB.

Had the same problem as you with hunters.. They are fun in pve.. but pvp is kinda meh.
Ofc im not max level with them so i cant say much about it.

Put pets on assistance stance or whatever its called, pop deterrence early, snake traps and explosive traps down, disengage and spam KC. I destroy melee with this tac

4 hunters 1 priet was my first ever team and they worked so far but the bears just wernt able to tank the higher heroics and in pvp warriors used to crush you

There is huge difference between PvP pets, and PvE pets. Turtle is the best PvE tank pet

I'm using a Devilsaur, Corehound, Silithid, and Shale Spider all specced for max dps.
