Default Dual box - pc - mac - synergy

Hello, I'm happy to be a new member of such an interesting community.. right, to my problem

I've got 1 WoW account, 1 Win7 PC and 1 iMac (both run WoW with decent framerate ~50fps)
    also I have 8 x 85 lvl toons : 2 healers, 4 DPS, 2 tanks

I'm thinking of spliting them in 2 accounts so that I can dual-box for fun and pleasure
I've used synergy before, for another purpose (win/linux combo)

Is my setup sufficient for dual boxing, and is it better or worse that 1 PC with 2 wow windows?

if at any time I I'm bored (which I doubt) with dualboxing, can I merge again my toon into 1 account ?

what (free) setup do you suggest ?

    thanks in advance!

    p.s. I've read the "Introduction"

You didn't list your computer specs but I, as most people, prefer the one computer setup. There are slight limitations to multiple
computers depending on what you want.

    Yep.

The only free multiboxing solution that you'll get assistance with is HotKeyNet. AutoHotKey is another but there are probably a
total of 7 people that use it on this site.

i found it frustrating to multibox on my mac. No one has ported any of the good software and you end up using clone keys or something like plexor. I tried booting up windows on my mac on a partitioned drive instead but its still buggy and would randomly turn itself off.

IMO its easier to just run your chars on one PC for multiboxing and use ISboxer, it's practically free anyway and doesn't cost much. The problem of doing a mac and a pc together is you will be limited to the mac multiboxing options for the PC as well.

You can use MultiLaunchBox if you wish to stay on Mac. It well handle the launching, Screen resizing (barely), and key broadcasting. Just get the trial, it is a full unlocked version. Then if you like it and feel like donating go for it.

ISBoxer, however has a great deal more features, and way more support; from the creator and the community.
As the developer of MultiLanchBox, I use ISBoxer. Then again I stay pretty much on the PC these days.

    hi all,
I played around a bit with synergy and HotKeyNet and then bought Inner Space
ISBoxer is ace, I dumped the iMac solutions, I'm dual boxing on windows with 1 PC and 2 accounts
    all work fine
    thanks for your help
