There has got to be some new bot released for Rift or something. Stonefield on Alsbeth is absolutely overrun with them. Just about every major mob spawn has up to 3 bots running around the same paths farming stuff. Amusing to watch but damn.

Can't say I am real surprised. All those 'now ignored' guys spamming cheap plat need to make it somehow.
Wonder how long it will take Trion to notice and do something.
My bad.. I won't mention bots by name anymore.. But yeah, they are out there.

Do not discuss bots here. You want to say they suck, fine, but do not name names and give free advertising to this crap.

I got the canned "thanks for reporting this behavior" responses and several hours later they were still farming the zone en masse. Rather annoying when they're skinning your kills and pulling the stuff you're trying to kill for a quest. Fortunately, the spawn rates in Rift are much better than WoW.
Funny as hell to pull a skinnable mob right into the middle of 3 bots running a farming route, loot the corpse and then watch all 3 of them beeline for the corpse to try to skin it.

Unfortunately, that only works until the human multiboxer has to return to real life, at which point the bot simply respawns and continues. Mercilessly. Coldly. Without feeling or remorse or empathy. It strives solely to continue the single-minded process for which it was created. The bot sees but does not see. It sidles up and smiles, hits the host where it's weak. Kills and never asks why. Its existence is anathema to the system itself, antithetical to its host's raison d'etre.
For, you see, it was created without soul, without the quintessential element that drives humanity to ever greater heights and ever more wondrous creations: the desire to be part of something more, something larger than itself. Instead, it is merely a parasite. Leeching the creative energies of its target in wide, grossly-inefficient swaths. Feeding the cancer until the host's airways are clogged with it. Until the system, swollen to proportions never envisioned by its designers staggers to a lumbering halt and begins to wither away into the binary dust of those that came before.
The system fights against it but the onslaught is legion. The creativity of the disease's masters far exceeds the limits of its benevolent host. The system cannot fight the invaders alone. It needs champions. It needs knights, willing to sacrifice all to preserve that which matters most.
The battle begins with one, lone hero...
