    Default Dk DPS

    Hi,

I was thinking about frost DK Dps since i just started specing and gearing my DK for frost PVP damage. Before i only had my eyes in tanking with this dude i not sure what to expect damage wise.

The best i've done on dummy is around 11K self buffed. That is whit refreshing diseases every 20 sec and than pure OB spam and RP dump with Frost Strike.

I've also tried NS/HB spam for like 9.7K similar to what mosg2 do i think.

    Now to some questions:

    - Would i be better of NS/HB dps over OB dps in BG/Arena due to the healing debuff even tough OB spam shows more DPS on dummy?
    - What kind of DPS are you getting out of a single DK? And what is the basic strategy behind that.

For reference in running DK in full PVP honor gear, using the Gurubashi Punisher for MH and OH, yes, trying DW at the time being. 4 shamans along with that. Slowly doing the honor grind again gearing enh rather than elemental.
Multiboxing melee is quite something else from elemental + tank that i have grown custom to since BC.

On a side not what kind of DPS are you enh shamans looking at, think my shamans are in the 10k range.

    Regars,
    Ztar

    Ps.
Just got rolled by 5 boxing Warlocks, Sevloc are you on here?

I've found Obliterate hits a lot harder on low armor targets.
It destroys cloth more so than say a plate target.
Obliterate, after Outbreak to apply both diseases to a target, is strong DPS... and it combines exceptionally well with Hungering Cold to CC most targets while you burn one, possibly with Empower Runic Weapon too.

The Howling Blast is usually a better choice.
It is AoE, and glyphed applies Frost Fever.
Which talented reduces movement speed, essentially snaring anyone hit to the same level other classes would snare us.
So we're hitting multiple targets for some damage and the kill target for a bit more, snaring multiple opponents.
Plus, you can hit an opponent at 30 yards, while Obliterate is melee range only.

Use both tools, when you want to burn someone...
Obliterate puts out more single target DPS, on a lot of targets.
