    Default 5x Warlock any one?

    Hey, after a friend made 4 Shamans I decided I wanted to give it a try, sooo along came 5 warlocks just wondering if any one else is doing or done 5x warlocks and how they found PVE and PVP =D

    I do 4 warlocks and 1 priest, tbh a healer is needed, otherwise you will be replying on your pet on dps only.

    I would say 5 warlocks is good for questing possibility farming but i think PvE would be hard only 1 warlock could die every soulstone cooldown.

    Was thinking 5 Felguards + full set of dots woulda killed mobs before they did any realy damage to me?

    By the time you can summon a felguard your dots will/should be doing enough dmg to outaggro them; having a healer never hurts either, but if you don't wanna deal with the multi-class aspect(Like I'm not ready for it yet either, too many hotkey issues) you might be fine in pve if you make SURE you let your felguards get a swing or two in before going all-out dots; the problem with dots is even stacked x5 they still take time to tick, and there's not alot of spelldmg gear before Outlands; you might crack 100 spelldmg by then, maybe 150+ if you farm, I had about that in cloth gear on my druids pre-BC stuff(they're at like 400+ now at 63 lol)

    And yeah, in Outlands instances, Felguards simply will not survive tanking, especially vs bosses

    Thanks for replys, Dont plan on changing group setup just yet, once level 70 they'll mainly be for PVP fun,

    And yup will let them do some DMG before I stacked dots on, Guess I'll have to see how it goes,

    also another question is it faster to do Instances or Quests? atm im boosting with the 59 warlock.

    Since 2.3 I'd do both; Quests give a ton more exp than they used to and the rewards will help ensure your alts look similar if you're into that ;p Instances have both quests and gear upgrades so skipping most of them is a bad idea, SM especially is awesome for exp and quests/loot.

    I ran Deadmines a couple times, Stockades dozens of times, Gnomer once or twice(shudder, but cleared all 8 quests including the 2 inside instance), then did the 3 main SM instances(fuck graveyard, not worth wasting a reset on) a fair number of times till both alts had full Doan's gear and a set from Whitemane, did RFD a few times, then did ZF a ton(mostly witch doctor runs for his awesome staff, did temple event once), Sunken temple for quests then BRD in early-mid 50s a couple times(I don't have the patience for it and still need to go back to turn in the Princess quest + save Windsor), ran DM West once for a guildie's warlock epic mount, as well as Scholo once for quests + pala guildie's epic mount, and ran BOTH sides of Stratholme at 60 without exiting, once, with just my trio; almost beat the 45min timer on Baron too but the Black Guard took like 5 mins to come out and I lost because of that and not "rushing" or skipping through the trash lol

    I skipped BFD and whatever the Silverpine Keep one is with Arugal at the end cuz they're too far out of the way for alliance; skipped WC for obvious reasons; skipped Maraudon because it's both huge, and a huge pain in the ass, and because it's out of the way for alliance; skipped RFK cuz Duskwood lvling is awesome enough that I don't need an instance for that range besides stocks for quests

    After that wall of instance-related text, I add the fact that I cleared every zone of quests I could; I had my 70 drag the alts along in tow, 1 insect swarm or moonfire was enough to kill mobs pre-30, Starfire usually oneshotted them till mid-30s or so, by then I had integrated the alts helping starfire/wrath to kill mobs cuz they did juuuust enough dmg to cover that sliver of HP I missed alone. I cleared ONE starter zone, moved on to elwynn and cleared some of the higher stuff + Raid Boss Hogger, did westfall/lakeshire, did a little loch modan, did wetlands, then duskwood + more wetlands, started STV, did hillsbrad and arathi, finished STV + did desolace for SM questline; hit up tanaris, etc you should know the rest of the orders

    Except for the obscenely low droprate quests I cleared all those zones and did all instances around their appropriate lvl, and I am now sitting at lv63 with 6days 11hrs /played time, and that's with spending a random halfhour to an hour in IF or Shatt /dancing in bear/boomkin form for kicks at the end of most days lol

    Thanks for the Info, I dont mind doing quests its just the ones were it wants you to collect things from mobs, Takes ages doing it x5,

    Atm im boosting seems to be decent XP and starting to get gear =D



    But in all am loving it, so much fun !

    IMO Affliction=TrueWarlock...demo is a pokemaster and destro is a shadow mage.

    I leveled Affliction from 1-70 and remain Affliction but did try out demo on the PTR once...I was gd healing my felguard more than I was doing damage.

    While leveling I played a game in my 40's in Tanaris (solo) with imp out and would see how many concurrent mobs I could take on at once. By using fear, instant howl of terror and drain tanking using drain life I could easily manage 5 mobs and I believe it was before Siphon Life talent was in the game.

    With 5 locks now I would definitely still go Affliction, have 1 go Instant corruption then enough demo to get 3/3 imp void walker then go back into the Affliction tree. Use VW on 1 to tank a mob (imp VW has awesome tank abilities and great damage mitigation) and I would use the imps on the other 4 locks, leave 1 phase shifted so he never dies to keep your blood pact up in case things go bad. With 5x dots and maybe a finishing 5x shadow bolt I doubt the improved vw would lose aggro most of the time on same level or 1-2 level higher mobs.

    Questing would be very easy but yeah instances might be rough with 5x locks. Maybe you could team up with a tank and healer and take 3 locks at a time into instances?

    Plus 5x drain life and drain souls look so cool.

    I know Mudd has 5 locks. Bradster was 4 warlocks, 1 priest and has some videos, but I haven't seen any 5x warlock videos yet.

    Swap a lock for a priest.

    A shadowpriest would be better damage (from misery and shadow vuln), and would provide health and mana regen to the group.

    A holy priest would be great healing and increase your longevity.

    Also, haveing a rezzer and 4 soulstones is god, and 5 soulstones and no rez is inneffective.
