    Are SandyBridge procs not available where you live?

    I would take an i5-2500K over the i7-990x any day of the week and twice on Sunday. (or the i7-2600K if you need the hyperthreading for video editing). For gaming, it's as fast (or faster) than the 990X, costs 1/3 the price and can overclock just as high or higher.
