You could grind Wyrmrest Accord to exalted and buy these: http://www.wowhead.com/item=43955 .
Not sure how long the grind would take running dungeons or questing in Dragonblight, but it's quite a nice looking drake.

I'd imagine the Tabard for Wyrmrest, and then running level 80 heroics would be a fast way to max your reputation.
If you have the funds, the Vial of the Sands is going to be the easiest drake to acquire.
Spend a little gold (more than a little), and there you go.
The mount looks neat, and it is fun to have, plus I get a bit of notoriety/attention from having five on them on my five box team..
If you've only got 300k, I wouldn't recommend 10x Vial of the Sands.
You'll definitely want to keep a fair amount of gold in reserve, as making gold is easier with a larger amount.
The vendor portion is 29k per mount (less with Goblins or the relevant faction) plus 12x Truegold plus 20x Flask A and 20x Flask B.
That would likely put you close to broke.
There is a balance between not being able to buy upgrades, so having more gold then you can spend... versus not having enough to buy the next toy, whether that is Alchemy x10 (or another skill) or a 4.2 crafted weapon that is a significant up on what you have, etc...
My Vial of the Sands cost me 150k in vendor mats + combine fees; the Truegold was essentially free, but 60 bars could have sold for at least 30k at the time of the combine, so in all it probably cost 185-190k for five.
I had a little over 400k after the purchase, and going for a PvP focus this expansion... there was essentially nothing that gold could buy.
If I only had 250k, I wouldn't have made the purchase.

Well I looked at models in game and talked to a few guys and looking on wowhead and here of course and the green proto drake seems a decent choice for a boxer.
Seems the proto drake model is a lot better looking then the obsidian sanctum model (although thats 100 times better then nothing).
The green one is like 8 days of under 2 hours a day quests to get the faction all easy and then wait wait wait for the eggs, its up to 5 percent now. Some guys get it in a week others been waiting for a year lol ....
So I do the quest line with 21 guys, then in a few months maybe 3 or 4 don't get it and then I can buy the vial of sands for those guys, or I can try the timeless proto drake and loot / tag with the guys that didnt get the green.

Is it hard to get exalted with tol brad? I know I am high rep with frostwolf and that wasn't very hard at all.

How do you feel about the albino drake (reward for 50 mounts achievement)? It's not very difficult to get, especially if you have gold to spend. It might be easier to get than waiting 3-4 months for the random green proto drakes. It will certainly take less time. You could even do it concurrently with trying to get the greens.

The albino is nice, best of that model, but seems the proto model is better looking, what do you think?
Well they did raise the probability for the green proto drake from 2 percent in wrath to 5 percent now, thats a lot of difference.
