Default I want to get back into multiboxing and need advice!

Hello everyone! I've been lurking on these forums for a couple of weeks and it got this old multiboxer thinking again.

I started my multibox career in Everquest and carried it over to WoW once it was released retail. My first ever characters were a rogue and a priest that hit 30 together before I got tired of messing with the second account while questing. I still kept the accounts going and actually added a third later on however I only played one character at a time.

After stumbling on the *zin's and these forums it got my brain started again and recently I've dabbled a bit with AHK, my 70 warlock and my 65 shadowpriest. I'm not entirely overwhelmed by the combination 'tho, maybe I'm missing something obvious? I'm not even close to keeping up with the affliction warlock's mana when I only toss SW:P on every mob.

So I'm here for some advice from you more experienced multiboxers. Either I get this duo working better or I try something different. I'm not sure I'm up for 5-boxing but I've considered 3-boxing my priest and two mages. The question is if their dps will be enough for comfortable and efficient farming?

    Welcome,

With the shadow priest I would go with a SB lock not sure on what builds are out there and SW:P and MB with the priest to get the debuff up they should roll very well.

If your looking for a cool farming trio try 3 shadow priest that is if you have to lvl those mages. i think it was at 3 Sp you will never run out of mana. Just my 2c Good Luck

Right now I've coupled the Warlock and Priest spells like this:
    [code:1]
    Unstable Affliction (1.5s) - Vampiric Touch (1.5s)
Siphon Life (instant) - Vampiric Embrace (instant)
Corruption (instant) - Shadow Word: Pain (instant)
Drain Life (5s channeled) - Mind Flay (3s channeled)
    Shadow Bolt (2.5s) - Mind Blast (1.5s)
Shadowburn (instant) - Shadow Word: Death[/code:1]
    Besides these I've remapped F1-F12 to heal the priest ( F1-F4 ), warlock ( F5-F8 ) and warlock's pet ( F9-F12 ).

The heals work great, the trouble is that the priest runs out of mana if I keep casting SW:P on every mob I pull with the warlock. Maybe I should stick to healing the warlock giving it endless mana and no downtime?

My advice is to limit the priest's damage to just swp, don't bother with mindflay, etc and go to a disc\holy build to get the maximum effect of heals, better regen and cheaper instant casts. The damage the shadow priest can put out is minimal in comparison to the warlock and you'll be much happier with his uptime, especially when you get shadowfiend.
