    Default SWTOR- macros

    Just come across this today on the forums;

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=310772

    From the looks of it, no macros at release date. I can't find anything else to back it and didn't read every single reply. Was more curious if any one else had info to back this up?

    basically no boxing at release. I hope they put it in later, that is if it turns out to be a good game.

    Oh well, getting burned out on new games anyways.

    They will have dynamic user keybinds though at least.

    It was also confirmed that there will be commands like "follow" and "target of target" which can be assigned to a key. So from that point of view multiboxing seems to be still feasible in that game.

    ... brief Update from the E3. As reported by one fan-page (Darth Hater), there will be a follow-command in the game... at least it is in at the moment and working.

    So good news for Multiboxers.

    Even without macros you'll just have to have your follow button consist of two steps: Target (whoever) on downpress and then follow on up-lift.

    Easy peasy. The real question is if you'll be able to have multiple instances going on the same comp at the same time. Could Lax answer that question maybe? If a game has to be in the foreground to accept mouse and keyboard input does "tricking" it with ISBoxer require you to modify the code?

    Edit: Basically, my main concern is whether or not you'll have to have 4-5 computers to box on (one instance apiece) or if you'll be able to do it as easily as WoW.

    Haven't heard of any MMO which you cannot run with several instances on on PC, at least with some tricking.

    IIRC, EQ2 originally wouldn't take input unless it was at the forefront and using a program to trick it not only violated the ToS at the time but was detectable.

    Regardless of if there are no macros, i think even for this game i may have to go back to the old school ways and manually press buttons seperately on 2 keyboards like i use to when EQ first came out, and just dual box if it is even viable to multi-box in the game.
