You have a quad core processor. 2 cores 2 cores each = 4 cores = Quad core

ok what i wanted to make sure of. cause the way i was reading it was i had 2 quad core q9450. Cause im trying to figure out a way to get a bit more FPS on my main guy in combat its dropping down to about 10 and it hasnt been doing this before. My cpu and mem is onlya bout 60% being used when in combat with all 5 so im wondering if its my GPU thats not able to keep up or what it is. the sound is now choppy and the fps just fall bad in combat where before it was like at least 20 when closing rifts with other people around and now its at 10 or less in 5 man expert.

First, if you're only seeing 2 cores of a Q9450 in your system's Device Manager... something isn't quite right. To see how many
cores you really have working you should open up your Task Manager and check the Performance Tab.

Second, you said this wasn't happening before. Check
    this thread.
