I usually leave people alone if I am leveling. If they are killing the same stuff I am for quest then they must die. I dont think its fun to kill some poor bastard who is a lowbie with my 70 and camp him forever. I got better stuff to do with my time. If some high level ganks me I usually kill any red in the area after as payment for the gank. My goal is to reach 70. Once I am 70 I will attack depending on my mood and if I am busy or not. If I am trying to get to an instance for a raid I dont mess with people. I have things to do so attacking would make me late and waste time.

Yesterday I had some jerk 70 kill my 3 51 shamans and the flight guy I was getting ready to talk with in searing gorge. He ended up killing me 2 times each. I was able to finally fly away when I rezed everyone at the fight guy when he respawned. You have to be pretty bored to do that. Once I get my team to 70 I plan on making many alliance pay for my ganks during leveling. And if anyone in my guild is getting ganked I will rush to their aid if I am not in a bg or instance. Thats something The Zerg is not very good at doing so far since I been in the guild. I have been camped by 70's several times while leveling and no Zerg has come to help. Once my team is 70 I will be the one that comes and helps the guys who are leveling up. Maybe when they get camped back they will think twice about messing with a lowbie zergling.

The only thing that sucks with this game is that I cant kill alliance players. Alot of them are too stupid to deserve to live, but I can't do anything about it. I hate it =|
lol, I feel the same way about some of my faction. If WoW ever implemented a FFA server I'd start over on that the next day.

I tried to be nice for awhile because i massively outnumbered and out powered people but when they feel safe around you they get brave and bring thier friends to mess with you thinking your a bot. So now if its red its dead and to rub it in real good i camp them multiple times to make sure they to to head to the other side of the map next time thy see me.

After taking this stance I have had very few troubles lately.

I'm not really big into ganking horde while they are questing or anything. If I see something like "South Shore is under attack!" then I usually show up and see what I can do. SS is under attack 24/7 on my server with more horde than alliance. I also got ganked a LOT while leveling different toons, mostly from lvl 70's camping me in Duskwood or something, very rare was it to be ganked by a horde near my level. I guess 70's just get bored sometimes. But, I play on a PVP server and kinda knew what I was getting into.

Sometimes, I even try to help lower levels of opposing factions, and they sic their imp or void walker on me like they are really going to take my group down or something. I don't really understand That, but oh well.

But, see, you're not getting back at the person who did something to you, you're just killing random people. But it does feel good, doesn't it? Welcome to my world. You're just the same as me =)

LOL... ganking is about opportunity... and not about skill, or honor, or about having an fair fight.

While I was doing a collection quest, the one where the item that you are looting off of the group either zaps you or gives you the quest item, I had my 5 team spread out to 5 spawn points.
A person 3 levels lower then me sees one of them just standing there... waits, then decides that he/she'll gank me because I might be AFK... *sigh*
So I get my main, gather up all my other toons then head over and pwn him. He was shocked to see 4 toons run up to him.

An hour later, I see a lvl 64 hunter and ignore him and continue to my questing. 2 level 70 Rogues unstealth and kill everyone and the hunter moves on after taking a couple shots at me.

On the same night, I see a level 65 and a level 70 doing a quest. So I just do my own thing. They decide that they'll gank me, all my toons died because I wasn't prepared. 2nd round I got both of them and a rogue that was with them. 3rd round, I killed their lower level then almost had the 70 but died.

Later on the same night, a level 70 hunter decide that he/she'll test his/her skills. I was low on mana and health and drink/eating when I got ganked, had the hunter down to ~100 health, but couldn't finish it.

Moral of the story... people will gank when they feel they have the advantage.

My question to those that is on the "Red == Dead". How does their retaliation go?
As in, after killing X amount of the other faction, is there always a group of 70s that come specifically for you?
OR do you find that the ganking towards you goes down or stay about the same?
OR since you've already killed X amount of the other faction, when the ganking comes it just becomes sport?

The other night I had an entire raid gank me because I was "defending the Netherstorm summon stone for the Alliance" I felt so proud
That night I had around 240 HK's and around 1300 honour

On Skullcrusher I had a toon on the Alliance and Horde. Way back in the day before most people even hit 60, heck most didn't have their mounts, I corpse dragged a level 1 gnome and a level 1 orc to the arena in STV and setup fights between the factions. This was before all the 'l33t sp33k' mods and such. It was a lot of fun.

I also used to run up and down the roads in Ashenvale on my alts with my 60 druid or rogue in stealth on follow. Invariably somebody of a much higher level would come by to gank and then... Surpise! lol

Oooo thank you very much ! Gonna pick this up for when I actually start/join a guild ;p I'm brand new on Cho'gall so I don't really know many people yet. Besides the folks who are really enamored with dancing quadruplets of course (=

That's awesome I ran into my first meeting stone troubles trying to get a fifth up to SM. Had to kill a ?? hunter TWICE to get the damn summon off. I know he was steaming when he ran back ASAP and got 4X earth shocked instantly
