    Default Keyclone maximzer isn't stretching WoW windows correctly

    Hello there,

    I've decided to redo my keyclone setup and use PiP/Maximizer, however, I can't get past an issue with WoW windows not stretching correctly.

    Take a look at the image below to see what I mean. The 5 wow windows on the right aren't stretching all the way as they should.

    Any idea how to fix this?

    My keyclones.ini is barebones with this:

    [regions]
    count=5
    region_name_00='Main'
    region_00=1,0,0,1600,1599,0,0
    region_pip_00=0,(0.0.0)
    region_name_01='region1'
    region_01=1,1600,0,2559,400,0,0
    region_pip_01=0,(0.0.0)
    region_name_02='region2'
    region_02=1,1600,400,2559,800,0,0
    region_pip_02=0,(0.0.0)
    region_name_03='region3'
    region_03=1,1600,800,2559,1200,0,0
    region_pip_03=0,(0.0.0)
    region_name_04='region4'
    region_04=1,1600,1200,255

    Also, when I use PiP to switch windows, the resolution of any of the right side windows is messed up when moved to the main, and vice versa.

    Basically it doesn't look like keyclone is setting the right resolution?

    If it matters, I have a 30" monitor running 2560x1600 resolution

    UNCHECK 'snap to grid'

    you will also want to make sure the aspect ratio of the small regions and the big region matches

    Hey there,

    When you mention the aspect ratio, what do you mean?

    Thanks!

    what is the resolution of your screen?
    are you using more then one screen? in spanning mode?
    once i have that, i'll be able to tell you the optimum dimensions for your regions

    Hello,

    I unchecked the "snap to" but it didn't change anything, the layout looks the exact same.

    I have a 30" monitor with 2560x1600 resolution. The monitor is not a span, just a single 30".

    Thanks!

    silly question but,
    Have you actually logged into the game past the loading screen? Are the black bars there?

    you need the aspect ratio of the smaller regions to match the aspect ratio of the large region.
    this would mean the w/h of the small region would equal the w/h of the larger one.

    doing the math:
    ----------
    4 clones vertical on the right... this means each smaller region is 1600/4 tall... or 400
    i am trying to figure out the width of the small region, w

    (2560 - w) / 1600 == w / 400

    now simplify: (showing all work)

    400 * (2560 - w) / 1600 == w

    (2560 - w) / 4 == w
    2560 - w == 4w
    2560 == 5w
    w == 512
    ----------

    now plugging this in:

    region_00 = x,y( 0, 0 ) w,h( 2048, 1600 )
    region_01 = x,y( 2048, 0 ) w,h( 512, 400 )
    region_02 = x,y( 2048, 400 ) w,h( 512, 400 )
    region_03 = x,y( 2048, 800 ) w,h( 512, 400 )
    region_04 = x,y( 2048, 1200 ) w,h( 512, 400 )

    plug those into the maximizer editor and it should work fine

    post a screenshot when you are done (leave the other for comparison)

    Yay much better!!!

    I've another question

    When I hit my PiP button twice in a row, it switches between the current PiP and the newly activated PiP window, multiple times. So if I were to hit F3 a bunch of times in a row, I won't know which window I'm in. Is there a way to disallow this?

    For example, lets say I have 5 windows, and each has its PiP activator as F+window, eg F1.

    When playing wow and I need to switch to my #3 character, I will hit F3.

    But now lets say I'm switching between characters often and I get confused as to which character I'm on. If I hit F3, I won't know which character I'm on. Why? Because I won't know if I was on the prior PiP or the F3 pip.

    Is there a way to turn OFF the whole round-robin PiP thing when you hit your PiP key multiple times? It is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery frusterating when you don't know which window you are in.

    Thanks!

    EDIT- Do you know if there is a way to make Vista automatically activate a window when you mouseover it? That way I don't have to click on every window at least 2 times per 1 window click.
    UPDATE: Figured it out on this article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/
    Thanks again KC man!

    make sure you are using v1.8e

    v1.8e introduced BOOBS to PiP... so no matter what screen you are in, F3 will always bring you the same wow clone

    EDIT- Do you know if there is a way to make Vista automatically
    activate a window when you mouseover it? That way I don't have to click
    on every window at least 2 times per 1 window click.
    CHECK keyclone/setup/general/focus follows mouse
