G'day and congratulations on your current rating.

I (and many of us dk teams) seem to have hit a ceiling at 1750-1800 rating. I was wondering if you could let us in on a few of your tactics in getting >2300 rating?

I see you are running 3 x blood, 1 x frost with a disc priest. I am interested why you have chosen this but also how you actually run the team? Do they all sit in unholy presence with the bloods dumping rp into death coil? How do you setup your strangulating? Round robin on a focus target or do you split it between arena target 1-4?

Basically there is a significant difference in your results despite having a similar comp to the rest of us. I am keen to find out whether this Is due to different tactics, skill or playing on US compared to EU? Cheers

Ps: I understand completely if you don't want to disclose tactics here but perhaps in the rated arenas forum where only restricted people can view? Cheers

I am also eagerly awaiting a response.

Perhaps we should post in German?

You sure that's the comp, and that he didn't just logged some out in blood spec?

All i can say at the moment is, that he is playing 4 Frost DKs in the arena. The bloddspecc is for fun and pve :P

Ask the guys from the last av weekend 27 games -> 27 winns. The best win was 0 / 598 for us. Damn they were pissed, but it was fun.

A big thanks to Kruschpak, Threnok and Sephice for the funny av matches.

I am interested in Sephice's answer as well.

but while strategy/tatics does make a big difference, I think it falls more onto the battle field awareness and reaction time. In other words, skill.

It doesn't take much to realize the way we played 4 melee zergs is not viable for 2200+. Zerg 1 healer while leaving the other free and letting the rest of the dps peel off your slaves is simply not going to work. Any teams that understand and execute the concept of "peeling off" will beat us.

Rather than focus fire one of the DK right off the bat, simply start the game with 1v1v1v1v1v1 CC to completely neturalize our team. Then focus fire 1 DK to win.

The way I see it, 2 ways in playing arena

    1. force the issue
    2. see or predict what's coming, then counter.

and do it with super fast reaction.

Who said anything about leaving healers open and dps un cc'd?
    Mass Chains
    Strang Healer 2
    Hungering Cold
    Mass Grip / Mass strang
ETC... Lots of things to do to protect your healer while shutting down theirs to train some one.

Also the 1v1v1v1 that you post I'm assuming you're not counting DK's defensive cooldowns? We can go Stun Immune, Fear/Poly/Sheep Immune, Knock Back Immune, and Absorb spells with AMS. Then Trinket anything else.
The way you beat our comp is out last us / survive the first 60-90 seconds. Frost DKs are a 1minute class even in 2s and 3s as a single toon. Our whole offense relies around 1min strang, 1min HC, 45sec AMS + Runic Empowerment / Lich / IBF.

Battlegroup makes quite a big difference aswell. No clue in which Sephice is though.

Ya we're still stuck in battlegroups The region arena queues didn't make it in 4.1. Only thing that I can think of if they did make them region based is that they force matches vrs your own battlegroup first, and then go to the region if there isn't a game (similar to the new Dungeon Finder Logic). I've yet to have a game against some one who wasn't on my battlegroup since 4.1.

so you executed what you described every match ? or just IWT + random strangulate/HC and hope for the best for each match. I didn't say DK had no tools.

We all know what tools to use given the situation. Simply don't have the hands and coordination to do it. Sure I wanted to repen all 4 targets with my rets, and hammer them when they get near. But at the end of the day, I got random repen coming out on the target I am beating on.
