What are your guys thoughts on arms v fury for the warriors?

    Things to consider:
----Whichever you find more fun (of course)
----Ease of macroing for maximum dps
    ----synergy

Im working on a group with 3 warriors and a druid tank... im thinking arms spam might be where its at, but havent played the spec yet so not sure if it will be fun or not.

It also seems a bit weak on the AOE but i could be missing something.

fury dps is so damn easy. Blood Thirst on cooldown, something else in between.

Definitely fury without the instant slam talent, use heroic strike instead. With 2h fury the difference between slam and heroic strike is very small.

Hey Ashley, did you have Cata gear on those warriors in that video? They were only doing 1800 dps, so I assume you hadn't upgraded their gear yet?

Also, can you tell how much dps they are doing now?

I started today a simulair group (4 Fury warriors (dual wield) + Holy Paladin)
I had too much fun. Leveled till level 15 and started doing dungeons.
Deadmines and Ragefire Chasm that was a walk in the park
Normally I have troubles when starting doing dungeons but now it was really easy?.
Most bosses are dead before they can doing their "thing".

It's nice to have another playstyle too, normally I am tanking with DPS and healer behind me, now DPS is in front of me.
It was strange at first but now I am use to it, I have the idea to have more "control" now.....

Thanks @ Ashley for the inspiration

What's so special about using a holy paladin? Can it be just as easily substituted with any other healer? Do paladins bring something special for melee or warriors that Druids/Shamans/Priests can't?

I'm curious because my knowledge of most of the classes other than Druid and Mage is quite sparse.

Edit: Also, how are you controlling your War/Pal team in PvE? Do you lead from the Paladin and heal from range as usual or is he supposed to be up there in melee range? I seem to recall someone saying "Paladins are a melee" healer but I never understood what that meant. I understand they have a judgement ability which is short range and are still supposed to be used by healers. But does the Paladin actually need to be meleeing anything?

The one thing a paladin brings which no other really can match is the bubble, you usually get targetted, while they hammer at you, your toons usually kills one or two, and you just bubble and survive, thats the plan anyhow
    Multiboxing WoW x 5
Team Ioso 4 warriors 1 paladin
Team Misterioso 4 DKs 1 paladin

Paladin and melee was before wotlk if I'm correct. You used to be within 10 yards to apply a judgement, but that got increased to 30y with a talent in the holy tree. Besides that it's not really lifesaving. Just usefull.

Paladin is sturdy due to plate + shield vs melee.
Because you don't really have a tank, it's nice to be able to dish out big fast heals on the target 'tanking.' Paladin excels at that.
Bubble is lifesaving. So does Blessing of Protection in most PVE situations.

From Ashley's video's I'd say the paladin is played as main and the warriors just charge in. Makes most sense aswell. You only have 1 paladin and 4 warriors.

Paladin heal just seems easier. Mainly on the defensive end. I tried Paladin,Shaman, and Priest. On just pure the healing side, I think it has something to do with damage/heal ratio. When your tank is taking small damage, holy shock + holy light + occassional Word of Glory just seems to heal more (not to mention beacon / and self heal). Other healers' mana efficent heal is just not healing as much, mainly because Word of Glory and Beacon, so with other healers, you have to use big heals often. When tank is taking large damage, then paladin is about the same as other healers. All of them have to spam divine light equivalent.

The other big part is defense. As Littleburst mentioned, paladin is plate and can take a hit. When hell broken lose, paladin could still bubble. This is good for both PVE and PVP. Especially for PVP, when paladin takes direct hit, it generates a holy power as well. This makes Holy Paladin the toughest to kill without kiting. All other healers have to run in PVP to survive. Since we are boxing, H paladin seems to make sense. Solo though, HPaladin is not the top healer class IMO. Restore shaman seems to be the best PVP healer.

for 5 man PVE, I drive with the tank. But driving with H Paladin works too.
