Even if you turned the sound on on all your machines (which I have done on one of my setups) you only hear the sound coming from the instance of wow that you are focused on.

Therefore, if you were focused on instance one (who has had their fish-on sound replaced with a .wav that says "ONE") and instance number three (who has had their fish-on sound replaced with a .wav that says "THREE") you would hear the .wav say "ONE".

There is only a single .wav file and call for that .wav file for the fishing sound... when someone, anyone, has a fish on, the call is made for that .wav file.

So if you have replaced your .wav sound with a .wav file that says "WOOPIE I CAUGHT A FISH!"... it would go off anytime you were near ANYONE who caught a fish.

Don't tell me you guys haven't noticed this. It was my biggest pet peeve when fishing next to someone who was also fishing.... the fish bobber sound would go off and I would right click my bobber but it turned out that it was the guy next to me who had caught a fish... not me.

Something might be able to be done with a mod though.... not sure.
