Hey guys, I know this isn't an "IT support forum" but the people hanging out here certainly have a fair ammount of know-how when it comes to PCs, so I thought i'd throw this out there before I beat one of my PCs with a hammer...
OK, so the problems seem pretty random to me, maybe someone else can see a link:
-The mouse cursor will freeze, but I can move the mouse around with no visible cursor and still click things, just can't see the cursor. This happens while playing WoW, or even with nothing running sat on the desktop. Doesn't happen at any particular intervals or events.
-The sound will start looping a "click" like if I close a WoW menu, then loop any sound made over and over until crashing the system. Or, the sound will simply cut out completely. Sometimes this crashes the system, other times it runs "fine" with no sound.
-The PC freezes up completely, sometimes it carries on again some 20-30 secs later, others it just hangs and sits there, this happens most when running WoW, but does happen just at the desktop also.
-Blue Screen crash, only had one of these to be fair, but still...
I have tried:
-Removed sound card, disabled on-board sound
-Swapped USB ports for mouse/kb
-Tried another keyboard (ps2)
-Reinstalled the entire OS, drivers for chipset, gpu, sound, kb, mouse, etc, the problem persisted before i'd installed drivers, and after. (windows XP also fully updated)
I've run a full memtest (from a bootable disk) came up as full pass
Ran disk scans via Computer Management, all disks came up fine...
Below is a full DxDiag.txt (copy/pasted to new post in reply if you really want to go through it all)
Any help or suggestions most appreciated, thanks
