man, if someone had snagged that before they fixed it... could have resold it to them for a decent profit.
After it expires, there's still a waiting period before the domain becomes available again... and plus, there's always a possibility that Blizz would file (it would cost them about $2000 in fees), but they would get the domain back... you might get sued in the process.
