ending 4.0x in style ...
At the start of cataclysm I rerolled a new 'main' goblin shaman to play solo. Still had my 5x ele orcs. I decided to box less (only occasionally some pvp) and focus on solo raiding & bg's on the goblin elemental. If you are a bit up to date I don't have to tell you how painful ele is in pvp. Still my goal was to get the same pvp achievements on my new goblin as I have them on my old orc (that I both boxed and played solo).
Obviously still far behind in HK and some flag caps, but 2 achievements I've been really keen to get was wrecking ball and AV all-star. The latter became a fetish, can't tell you how many times I failed within a few seconds time frame. Meanwhile I'd get it on first or second try on all my other toons, just because they are way easier to play in pvp. The biggest pain in the ass for me as ele since cata release were warriors, just because it's ridiculous how many gap closers they have, the stuns, interrupts and fear. Not to mention their burst.
A few days ago I decided to focus in 4.1 more on pve multiboxing again, and just raiding with the ele goblin
So server shuts down at 3.00 am for the reset/patch roll out and at 2h15 I queue for my last random BG (solo on the goblin) ... AV pops. Everyone in the team more or less agrees to go out with a blast and turtle it. And it was a great bg. I didn't think about the achievements for a while as I more or less gave up on them. Almost our whole team is in the alliance keep whacking allies, when I see ice blood is capped. So I decide to go back to avoid rogues screwing us over eventually.
I cap iceblood back against 2 rogues with just knocking them off. At this point frostwolf gy is capped, and we start to get the server shutdown in 10m spam. So I go further to the south and see 2 warriors at frostwolf gy. I get my procs, stacks and trinket right and blow up the first warrior. I'm able to stay alive, kite him and eventually kill warrior 2 as well. And wrecking ball achievement pops up. I cap our gy back, and AV all star pops. It was hilarious they both popped 10 minutes prior to this first round closing down, without me knowing it. And definitely after killing those 2 warriors, the class who has been busting my balls for the past 5 months.
