4 sham pvp question

Not saying arena is not a focus for all of us.
But I would assume most have a lot of fun in battlegrounds.
And that would be the focus on pvp for many of us here.

Given the implementation of rated battlegrounds and arena, a common goal is to do them a minimum amount of times, that still allows for points to be capped.
Purely so you can be more effective in battlegrounds.

Shammies, whether Elemental or Enhance would be quite fun in BG's, especially geared.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure how well they would do in arena/rated BG's.

I did one rated BG match (my 4x DK's + Pally, with 5 fairly PvE geared toons, losing 3 flags to none, but having zero issues blowing up even 8 opponents at once).
End of the match, their MMR's (or was it rating) was 1800-1900 range, ours were 1444 across the board.
Personally, if we could run normal battlegrounds or normal area, and have the same rewards -- I would BG a lot, and never set foot in arena; still arena is worthwhile for me, purely for the better gear.

If a composition is fun for me in Battlegrounds.
And there's a chance to get the Conquest gear for them.
Even if it is relatively painful each week.
I'd look at the composition anyway... because they're fun in BG's.
But depends how painful the arena/rated BG portion is.

rogues can 1-shot nearly every class in the non-85 bg's. There is nothing you can do, except a thunderstorm on round robin, glyphed stoneclaw totem & elemental mastery, and use them as defensive cooldowns

Purge is not going to protect you from a shadowpriest killing you. BUt obviously as an offensive dispel it's great with 5 shamans able to purge at once. Else good luck purging the buff you want to dispel.

ofc elementals shamans are bad atm but viable enough for at least 2k ins 5s with a healer if your not running into triple melee all day like me in the first weeks of the season

the quad frost dk is actually the most powerful setup for rated bg/arenas but I haven't played that much on them so far, just waiting for season 10
