Default Keyclone Maximizer Issues

Hey everybody, I just got my new system yesterday and I have started to run a 4-box shaman group! The only thing I'm having some trouble with is I'm running on Win XP Media with a nVidia 8800 GTX. I'm trying to get Keyclone's Maximizer to work with Horizontal Span and for some reason, it only sees the first monitor and I have two connected. And because of that, it does not let me let me set the screen up the way I'd like. Which is: have the main maximized on the first, and have the other three evenly spaced on the second. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I also have the most resent version of Keyclone by the way.

try putting your screens into dual-view and see if that helps.

keyclone does not 'see' the extended screen dimensions... although you can work with it using the edit fields at the top... you just won't see it at the same time

Dual-view does help, and that's they way I'm running it at the moment. But the reason I'm trying to get it to work with Horizontal Span is because I get far better FPS and it cuts my processor usage from 30% down to only 5%.

I believe the original Maximizer program was intended for horizontal span. Havnt checked lately. You might want to google Maximizer and see what it says. May solve all ur problems. I know because I started with that program before Keyclone had it in its settings. Just a thought. BTW you can still run keyclone for other things AND do your maximizer(the other program) as well.

I had the same prob and documented the resolution, see this post -----> [Keyclone] HOWTo - Set up Maximizer (Updated PiP)

OK - thanks to Mac I worked out the required sizes and positions. I
have 2 x 24 inch screens whose individual resolutions are 1920x1200 and
I need 5 regions

1 - create a region, position 0,0 and set the size to 1920,1200 - this is your left screen

2 - set the following values for the next 4 regions

position to 1921,0 and the size to 960,600

position to 1921,601 and the size to 960,600

position to 2881,0 and the size to 960,600

position to 2881,601 and the size to 960,600

but gotta say one little thing the instructions above are very well hidden (not) under the title of:

That sounds like a good solution, I just need to figure out what the settings would be for two 22" at 1680 x 1050 each.

assuming you have 5 wows on the machine, and you want 1 wow full screen and a 2x2 on the other... i believe this would work:

1680 x 1050 x 2 would mean a region that is 3360 x 1050

region0: 0,0 1680,1050
region1: 1680,0 840,525
region2: 2520,0 840,525
region3: 1680,525 840,525
region4: 2520,525 840,525

All right, excellent solution. It works perfectly now  . A couple of interesting things that you might want to know. When I first tried it, it would make the full screen just fine, but the other ones, the 2x2, it would still kick it over to the main screen like it was set for 0,0. So, I went back into Dual-View, reset the settings I had for it, then went back to H-Span and it worked perfect. Guess it keeps the memory for each setting, and they conflict when you do so.

The other thing is, is changes the settings automatically to 0,0 x 1681,1049 for the Full Screen and 1680,0 x 841,525 for one of the 2x2s. I don't know if that's normal, but I just thought it would be useful to know.

Anyway, thanks again Keyclone .

*Edit* Oh also, I now get around 40-45 FPS on the Main with 15% CPU usage as opposed to 30%!
