Default Best burst team pre patch 4.0.6

Im currently running with 4 BM hunters in arena with 2 k resilience and some quest greenies. Got the vicious bow and the TB trinket. Im 99 % sure this is the team with the highest burst when multiboxed. Met a 2300 MMR team in blade's Edge, killed their warrior which was full vicious geared in 3 GCDs. Running with a strat which almost guarantees that the opposing team LOSs their healer for 1-3 sec. Any1 else having similar burst when doing 5s? Whats your setup? Strat? Avg item lvl? Currently working on a PvP movie with clips from arena and BGs, if you got any requests for the movie dont hesitate to shout out

    Happy easter fellow multiboxers

I'm happy you are having fun with the hunters. Please post more about your strat. Your post gives no information -- other than one encounter -- on why you believe BM to be the highest burst class at the moment. I'm highly skeptical as I'm sure others are. More information to support your position would be very helpful.

I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. It should be fun to watch.

Been working on arena strats this week, found some good methods for getting that first kill. On every map I start stealthed, putting down flare + 4 x explosive traps + 4 x snake traps. If I do this, the opposing team wont see me and gladius wont pick me up om the radar. My healer will go offensive, running around right outside the door from where Im standing. This can make the team think my healer joined the fight alone, thus making him an easy win, but truth be told, im lurking in the shadows :P once their melee dps engages him, I send in pets and start nuking him. Even with 2 healers they cant outheal it, but if they are able to CC 1 or more hunters I lose! So basicly I gotta be lucky on critts for the first kill, but usualy I get it my way after that its just tank'n'spank really. Popping deterrence, dropping a new fresh set of traps, disengage and continue killing. After the first kill my pets run around wild killing everything that hits its owner, making the opposing healer(s) job(s) a pain in the ass. Now, my favourite map is Blade's Edge map, easiest map to get a win @. I start stealthed, traps and flare up, my healer run to the bridge, waiting for them to attack first, when they engage he jumps down, making them follow him. Then he runs under the bridge making the other teams dps LOS their healer, and even with 2-3 sec without healing its almost a guaranted kill for me. Currently sitting @ 2 k resilience without the pvp trinket, BM specced and reforged to mastery

And the scenario I encoutered is just 1 of many.

When you join, at the top of the screen it says the number of players remaining for each team; not saying you cannot open with surprise, but only very inexperienced players/teams will assume only one player accepted the queue.

Hunters do have burst; and as you gear up, yours will improve.
I'm not sure if it is the most burst for any composition or not.
But if you have enough to take out any initial target in a GCD... or in a couple of GCD's if they lack an immunity to damage effect, your opening will give you an advantage.

There are a multitude of compositions in fives.
I've not run 5's yet with my team... but mine is a 4x DPS, 1x Healer composition.
More commonly, I would think you'll find 3x DPS and 2x Healers, at least in 5's.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I think a BM hunter, in a PVP scenario definitely has awesome burst. Since you're immume to most CC, you got a Pet ravaging around aswell. An arcane mage for example is pretty easily locked out while popping Cd's.

I don't play anymore atm, so can't comment more specific. But I'd definitely look forward to a vid of your arena games. I don't think any hunter boxer ever shared vids about it. Things I'd like to see are the "ooooooh sooo close" battles. Wether you win or lose. Some footage of you obliterating the team is definitely fun aswell, but tends to be more repetitive, then games that mix up a bit.

    Happy hunting!

Blizzard removed the CC immune thing from Bestial Wrath, so it only gives me more dmg to me and my pet + shots cost 50 % less. But the dmg output is huuuge, pets can critt for 20-30 k with kill command, and so can my spammable Arcane Shots. I`ll be putting in some "I-messed-up" videos aswell, so you can see my faults

Thats the thing, Ive won several matches against 2 healer + 3 dps comps. Ofc not high rated, but still! The advantage is in the opening wave each match, the opposing team doesnt know where I am, what class I multibox, nor who I target first. So the first target I start nuking will get stunned by 4 pets charging, and loads of arcane shots. And most healers cant outheal that, even with a second healer helping out. I allways target warriors, shamans, boomkins/resto druids and locks first. They dont have any big O-SHIT button to help em out, they cant even LOS me cus of the stuns.

I too am looking forward to your video.
I always like the arena videos, or the pvp videos in general.

If you're winning now, you'll be getting your Conquest Points.
Which means huge gear upgrades, over straight Honor Point gear.
And with no new content in 4.1... new raids/pvp season is 4.2...
That means full Conquest gear most likely, before next season.
So an even footing with anyone else for the new stuff.
And in the meantime, your gear gets better which is both more burst and more survivability.

How is your CC, after the initial bit?
Can you launch the freezing trap at a target, with mouse broadcasting on round-robin?
Or are you better off with the AoE traps and Entrapment?
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

What I do is: stealth before the match starts, put down 5 x explosive traps + 5 x snake traps + a flare incase Im able to locate any stealthers. Then I wait for one of them to come close, and when they do, its almost a guaranteed kill. If there is a feral druid/rogue on my team I usually pop deterrence, new sets of explosive traps and snake traps, pop masters call and start running. And while they are chasing me I pop disengage, giving me some distance, and the beauty of it is that I can shoot in the air. BUT I lose my main char from time to time due to lack of gear, so need some tweaking of my macros. Probably get a full team scatter and concussive shot, where I slow and scatter shot the whole opposing team
