Default Thoughts on a new setup.

I'm planning on building a new pc to assist me with my new 5box setup. I would appreciate some input from experienced 5 boxers and hardware guys.

Is the list of the new components I'm nabbing, (mostly finished). I'm planning to run 5 full windows. (two on one pc, two on a second, using stardock multiplicity for mousing and a software keystroke\mouse replicator I wrote myself for the keystrokes.

I'll use three computers total in the setup, this computer, running two instances of wow, an older amd 64x2 box running two instances, and a 5th instance running on a laptop.

Currently I have two 17" monitors and am planning to upgrade to two 19" ones for the primary machine. I plan to have the two 17s on top of the 19s then use the laptop as a fifth monitor. Multiplicity is really nice for mousing through the various screens. I'm kind of tenative on this point, as I wonder how much of an issue switching between the different resolutions will be for gameplay, but in my experience it hasn't been too bad so far.

Overall any tips on the hardware setup? The new system should be strong enough to run the two instances with no problem, the current amd system chokes a little with two windows, but that's on regular graphics settings. I would prefer to have wow maximized in all screens

Multiple screens at different resolutions might screw up wireless mice if you do go that route.

Going for multiplicity rather than wireless mice.

Newegg is nice, however I feel you could do much better on price for PC hardware.

All my machines are from http://www.cyberpowerpc.com you can custom build a system via the site or by phone if you need help. Pretty decent prices and options to choose from. Top of that I just had a hardware failure Friday night and called them (6pm) Part will be Tuesday round lunch time.

Up time is very important to me, I for one will pay more if it assures maximum up time. If one PC goes down all my wow accounts and other PCs must wait for that single computer.

You can make systems for $320 that will run wow; I spent about $480 on mine each for boxing so I have the option to do war hammer and future games with them. My main machine is a bit more powerful then yours and I bought it back in march for a lot less. Take a look at what they have to offer. I've been very happy with both sales and technical. The people on the phone actually know what there talking about.

Had a couple friends order from there per my suggestion. All of them have been very happy with them.

I will say this, The time it takes for a custom rig to get out to you could be better. Took 10 days to build and to ship, another 4 for them to get here (Its on thest coast, i'm on the east). You can pay extra for rush, but it's way over priced.

Due to Blizzards position on Hong Kong, money > freedom. I stopped playing.
