Default Inability to use FTL Assist

I'm having an odd problem in my ISBoxer setup that none of my boxer pals on Kil'jaeden are experiencing.

I've been playing a DK group from 55 to 80 (my first melee group) and have never gotten FTL Assist to work. In my mapped keys, I have set up a Melee FTL DPS Keys key map. As an example, key 2 has a couple of Actions in Step 1: It does a Do FTL Assist Me in General Key Map to self, then sends 2 to all the clients. In the Advanced portion of that key, it has World of Warcraft: Use FTL Modifiers set to Default (Off) and in the Melee FTL DPS Keys top section the World of Warcraft: Use FTL Modifiers is unchecked. With this setup, 2 sends fine to the clients, but they never assist (I believe this is as expeccted).

However, when I either check the Use FTL Modifiers box for the Melee FTL DPS Keys key map or change the Advanced section of key 2 to have Use FTL Modifiers to On, the 2 key no longer works. It sends @@@@ instead of 2222. This is true for all the DPS keys in the Melee FTL DPS Keys key map if the Use FTL Modifiers box is checked. So I send !@#$%^&*() instead of 1234567890, which of course does nothing in game since no actions are attached to !@#$%^&*().

Why would setting Use FTL Modifiers to On make all the key presses include a Shift in the press?

If this helps in any way, the FTL Assist Me in the General key map uses key Alt-Backspace.

Any thoughts? I've gotten through 25 levels with no auto assist, but I'd rather not go further if I can help it

Leave that box unchecked. FTL modifiers aren't used for that specific [ie - '2'] keymap, they are only enabled on keymaps
such as FTL Assist Me, etc. The FTL will be used when the Assist keymap is called via 'Do Mapped Key.' As for why it isn't
    working... well... I'm not sure.

I'm terribad at troubleshooting ISBoxer issues, and everything I have said above is going from memory.

I am not sure if this is the problem, but is the "FTL Assist Me" in General using any modifiers? If so, try unticking the modifier boxes and have the "add optional modifiers" blank.

here is a pic to show what I am talking about

You would only use the FTL modifiers if you have your toons specified by Shift, Ctrl, Alt etc under the Character Sets section. *for example if you had a macro on each toon for follow* Player 1 would be Shift f12, player 2 Ctrl f12 and so forth. This way when you switch to that toon the other toons know which one to follow.

Is your key your IWT that you are having problems with or actually assisting on key stroke 2? I created a complete new set of DPS keys for my IWT melee group when i played. Then i blacklisted the original set of dps keys.

I would try creating a test group called DK2 or whatever you want to. I've never had an issue with Isboxer not allowing it to auto assist.

Why would setting Use FTL Modifiers to On make all the key presses include a Shift in the press?
That's the definition of that option. It adds Shift because the FTL Modifier for your Slot is Shift. This option is used by the FTL Assist Me, FTL Target Me, and FTL Follow Me mapped keys in order to follow, target, or assist the correct slot. By separating it onto these specific Mapped Keys, only the keystrokes from these Mapped Keys are modified by FTL, leaving you free to use any modifiers you please for the rest of your mappings.

This is why the FTL DPS Keys generated by the wizard (which are great examples) and any additional DPS keys generated by the Many New Mapped Keys wizard in for the FTL DPS Keys map will automatically perform a Do Mapped Key Action to send "FTL Assist Me" to Window:Current (self). This makes the other windows assist the current window before pressing whatever other button.

If this helps in any way, the FTL Assist Me in the General key map uses key Alt-Backspace.
The Hotkey for FTL Assist Me is Alt-Backspace, but unless you press that yourself, the Hotkey for FTL Assist Me is irrelevant. The assist macro by default is assigned to Backspace, and the FTL will cause it to use Shift, Ctrl and Alt combinations plus Backspace. If the actual WoW macro is assigned to Alt-Backspace (either in the Game Helpers or a WoW Macro Action), then you will definitely have trouble assisting.

With that said, if assisting works manually but not automatically it would help to see your config. Or are you making them always assist one guy?

I have no idea what this means. I looked under my character set I set up for my DKs and the different slots and toons and see no options for specifying toons by Shift or whatever.

The problem is definitely not the IWT key. That works just fine. The problem definitely is with assisting. I target an enemy on the main toon, then hit 2 and my DKs cast Hungering Cold but just stand there with nothing targeted. Then I hit my WoW macro key that says "/assist party1", they target the mob, then I hit 2 and they attack as they should.

I did the something similar - created a new FTL Assist DPS Keys keymap based on the wizard. Then ensured that the DK Character Set only had this new keymap in their key maps section and ensured that their Character Set did not include the "regular" DPS Keys key map.

Right. My Melee FTL DPS Keys key map definitely includes the "Do FTL Assist Me in General Key Map -> self" for each key.

This is certainly what I expected to happen, but it definitely does not happen

No, I thought the whole point of FTL was that they would automatically assist whatever guy was the focus.

I definitely appreciate all the kind replys, but am still confused as to what is wrong in my setup or what I should do to fix it.

At this point I think it would be easiest just to add a new Warcraft command into every one of my DPS keys (1 through 0) that simply says "/assist party1". This kind of destroys the whole concept of FTL, but it would certainly work and allow me to use my guys without having to spam my "/assist party1" macro on a seperate key manually.

I was not able to see your pic that well when I clicked on it mercurio, it was too small :P

    Just a few things

1 - have you updated to the latest build? I believe it is version 38. If not then you may want to back up your config and try updating.

2 - perhaps isboxer files have become corrupted somehow and isboxer needs to be uninstalled/reinstalled. If so backup and try this.

3 - Not sure if you are using windows vista/7 and have UAC on, if so might have to run isboxer/innerspace as admin. To do this, close isboxer/innerspace and reopen them by right clicking on isboxer .EXE file and choosing "run as admin". Do the same for innerspace and see if that helps.

4 - Same as number 2 but the addon "Isboxer" could of become corrupt. Try backing up the folder and move or delete the folder in the "interface > addons" folder and install isboxer again.

5 - the best bet would be what lax suggested and post your config file. to do this easily, click "file > copy config to clipboard > tick hide account names > click ok"

go to the website http://pastebin.com and "right-click and paste in the big box". hit submit (you may have to enter in a securty captcha code given), wait till the page finishes loading and go to your browser's address bar and copy the link and post it here.
