    Default Mouse Multiplexer.

Surfing around today I found this http://store.hawkesintl.com/vikemomu.html

The Keyboard Multiplexer works wonders, had zero problems with it. A mouse one on the other hand. I was interested if anyone has tried one. How is the syncing? Being completely hardware based, given the exact signal with only slight lag I think this could work for gaming. Doing it via 5 wireless mice the Sync issues I’ve experienced is too great. But this on the other hand…
    Any comments?

This is actually a pretty nice find. PS/2 or USB mouse wired broadcasting is far preferred to wireless broadcasting as well, wireless imparts delay, inaccuracy, etc as you move beyond a few inches from sender unit to receiver. No idea how well this works but the prices are certainly better than Vetras!

Are you talking a multiplexer or multicaster?? In my mind, they are opposites, and that product basically is a KVM, not a multicaster like our Vetra units.

Brad, I am not sure this is a multiCASTER. If it is not then it doesn't work for our purposes as it is just another KVM.

I called today to inquire if this is in fact a Multicaster and KVM as the item described as such. It is just a KVM from what I was told. Why they labeled as such is mystery

    Well their terminology is correct.

MultiPLEXER = multiple in, one out

MultiCASTER = one in, multiple out.

    SImilar words, opposite meanings.
