How do I broadcast a click on my slaves for an aoe? {wow}

so, only software i have right now is keyclone, willing to dl others. (EDIT: NOW HAVE ISBOXER TRIAL) Have 3 locks and would like to know how to make my slaves lay down a rain of fire in the exact same point as the master does. i see a lot of guides (most of which make no sense to me) been noob-boxxing for a while, and only doing an "alright" job of it, because i didnt know that there was such a large community to it and so much support and options. One issue i had was having to swap screens to do this, would like to know how to do it, specifically to my situation. Btw, all three windows on one screen. Thanks!

Edit: Alright, lemme rephase. I didn't mean to emphasize "exactly" the same spot, but at least in the same general enough area ( if its hitting the same targets its good enough for me! lol) and I know about setting views with macros in the abilities itself, tho i dont know quite how to do it. But how would I get the boxxing software to make all the mouses click in the same maybe area of the window? say in the middle of each screen if they are all in the same general location with the same camera angle?

Keyclone is kind of tricky, and I'm going by memory here.

I believe what I did, was I had a hot key set, to adjust the screen to all instances, to be the same.

Then A hot key in Keyclone allowed me to pass the mouse button.

So IT would be along the lines of...

Hotkey 1, set screen
Hotkey 2, Say Blizzard, or hellfire whatever AOE.
Hotkey 3. enable mouse click
then mouse click to place.

Like I said, it's been a long time since I did that, as I usually just round robin them now, and move the mouse to the instance I want it to cast.

It should be noted that it is nearly impossible to have your slaves click the exact same location as your main. You can get close but to be perfect, you would have to have the following things happen:

• All characters facing exactly the same angle.
• All characters standing in exacly the same spot.
• All characters camera zoom and angle exactly the same.

You can see how difficult it is for those to happen. Setting default camera views and adding SetView() functions to your macros helps. If you have time to line everyone up and adjust each time, it is better but in fast-moving battles, it is rarely worth the effort to try to perfectly sync your targeted AoEs.

Second note: This has nothing (repeat NOTHING) to do with what software or hardware you use to multibox.

Keyclone does have a hotkey for mouse broadcasting.

You push the hotkey and click on the main.
It will switch from character to character, clicking in the same relative position on the screen for each character.
The switch is as fast as a normal KC swap, so 1-3 seconds for each character.
During which time, you cannot really do much else.

In practice, you would push a macro to sync up your views as much as possible.
This same macro would cast whatever spell.
Which then has each toon need to position the target circle and click it.

You then press your KC mouse broadcast key.
And click on the first screen.
It will do the swap-click, swap-click, until each have clicked.

Play around with this on something non-critical.
See if you like it.
I found manually moving the mouse to the slave regions and clicking manually was faster.
But eventually moved to a different boxing solution, partially because of the mouse stuff.

I edited up top, now have IsBoxer trial as well to try that out. Heard its much much better for mouse broadcasting... so yeah. And it has more options that I really like.

For IS Boxer...

Put the toons that you will want to receive mouse clicks (broadcast the mouse) into an Action Target Group.
Open the toolkit, and towards the bottom of the top pane is action target groups.
Left click that, then in the lower left pane create an action target group.
Rename it to something that had meaning for you.

I personally have spells which mouse broadcast on three keybinds.
Depending on the team.
Not everyone on the same team will have a mouse broadcast spell on the same keybind.

For example on my 4x DK + 1x Paladin team, Death & Decay is mouse broadcast while the Paladin does not have a broadcast spell.

Anyway, to avoid conflicts I have an ATG for each of the keybinds I use for mouse broadcasting.
And then add toons to that ATG.

Then I set up the hotkey for a Send Next Click action.
Not all toons will AoE on DPS 4.
But for those who will.
Expand FTL DPS Keys, by selecting it in the top pane.
Open it in the bottom left pane.
Select DPS 4.
Expand it (bottom left pane).
Click the 1 under Steps.
Then in the bottom right pane, right click on Actions.
New Send Next Click Action > Target: The ATG for DPS 4.
And Block Click from the Current window should be checked; that way, everyone in the ATG receives it by virtue of being in the target group, but no one not in the group gets the click even if they're the active window moving the mouse and clicking.

Remember to Export to Inner Space (in the File Menu).

In play...
I press "4".
Which does all the normal stuff on "4".
IE:
- Slaves assist the master.
- All windows receive a "4" press... which casts whatever is on "4" in warcraft.
- Anyone in the Action Target Group (AoE_On_4) also gets a mouse action.
You move the mouse on the current window and will see a copy mouse move on their window too, if it is a ground target spell like Hurricane or Blizzard or Death & Decay, you'll see the targeting circle move in the slave windows as you move the mouse in the main window.
Once you click in the main window, that click is broadcast to all the slaves who are receiving Send Next Click, at which point the mouse broadcasting is automatically disabled for those characters.

I think I comprehended that. Lol. How do I temporarily disable everything Isboxer is doing to my windows, because for some reason its blocking certain keys from being typed, specifically, the "e" key which is in every one of my slave's emails. And their passwords. Also, tried copy/pasting, it blocked that too.

Going from KC to IS Boxer.

KC has one broadcast mode.
Which sends everything to all windows.
And a pause key, which is saying only send keystrokes to the current window.
You can blacklist keys to never broadcast.
Or whitelist keys so only those broadcast.

IS Boxer has two broadcast modes.
Repeater is like KC's broadcast, except it is the Keyboard and the Mouse.
(I have an example in my guide, see signature, to split that into two hotkeys)
You also have Keymaps, which are groups of mapped keys.
These are your hotkeys and other IS Boxer actions.
If both Repeater and Keymaps are on, anything that is a hotkey for a Keymap acts as a Keymap and is not broadcast.



When you're entering your password, you want Repeater on and Keymaps off.
This then broadcasts your password to all clients at once.
And doesn't have hotkeys for keymaps trying to do whatever instead of going into the password field.

When clicking a portal in game, you would activate Repeater without disabling Keymaps.
For the most part you play with one or the other active, and usually that is Keymaps.

You might activate Repeater and disable Keymaps, when you want your toons to /Dance.

You might disable Repeater and disable Keymaps, when you want to chat with one toon only.

When playing the game, 99% of the time you want Keymaps on but Repeater off.
This means your slaves won't try to run on their own, when you hold both mouse buttons down to run.
Any hotkeys you make will work, and I would recommend making mapped keys for anything you used to use in KC.

With mapped keys you can set variable targets.
You don't need to go All Windows, although going all windows is good for some things.
You can go:
- Window: Current Only
- Window: All Without Current (other windows)
- Window: All w/ Current (all windows)
- Any specific toon
- Any specific Slot (if you want the first character to do something on all your teams)
- An Action Target Group (which is a predefined set of characters)

You can get rather creative with your mapped keys.
And that is only looking at them as hotkeys for game actions.

That just undeniably BEAUTIFULLY answered this question and my 44000 other confusions while trying to launch up my first ISboxer team (5 gnome rogues, imagine the glory of popping from thin air with THAT army in pvp - i play on pvp realms, best way to encounter lone wandering targets)

Now, umm, I kinda screwed with what I didn't understand. Is there a way to reset ISboxer to its default settings? I'd like to keep my teams and all but I'm sure that'll get deleted too, but oh well. Better than spending hours trying to fix whatever I don't remember messing up.

Edit : file > clear profiles will do it? Dont wanna do it if thats not right.

That will clear the profile.
And then run the wizard again, to get all the basic stuff.

I'd recommend saving your profile periodically.
File > Save As.
Just so you can revert to whatever previous point worked, if something gets borked.

Also, if you clear the profile, you can start IS Boxer Toolkit twice.
Use one of them to open a saved/older profile.
And the other for the new or cleared profile.
And copy/paste mapped keys across, to not have to redo everything.
