Main Dies in a battle
What do you guys do? You set-up different cast bars for each alt with /assist macros? Wait till they all die 8D.Was just wondering, I'm new to multiboxing. I have 4 shaman on Hamoarush. I really enjoy boxing till the main dies then it gets hairy. Link to any threads would be appreciated.

Basically, what you have to do is work with "/focus charactername".
In a normal situation, the focus of all characters would be set to the main character. Any damage spell would then be typically macroed as "/assist focus /cast spellname".
When your main character dies you simply hit the key that assigns the next-in-line character to be the new main. And so on.
This way you generally only need one type of macro per spell. You do need, however, N-1 keys to assign main characters in a group of N.

I don't let my main die. 8)
Since I'm a PVEer -- running pally, priest, magex3 -- when my tank falls that's usually a wipe. When it happens I try to keep calm, bubble up, go all out with the mages and try to keep the priest up. If I'm lucky the battle was almost over and then I can rez.
PS: you can continue to target with the main after they are dead.
When my main dies, I am usually out of mana on my squishies anyway - and respawning is generally faster in BGs than rezzing up or regrouping. But I do highly suggest /focused based targeting.

I use the F1 - F4 keys to /focus (Character Name)
Then F5 to /follow Focus

This is also what i do, but i only run 3 characters(all locks). So if one dies the rest seem to follow rather quickly.If i die on one i just try to die on all and rezz upp
The setup I use is /focus macros for each toon bound to the insert, home, page up, delete, and end keys. Then I have all my other macros based with /follow focus, /cast [target=focustarget] spellname etc... So I can swap mains at any given moment without missing a beat :P.
Do not use /assist for targetting.
Use /cast [target=focustarget] XXX Spell
F1 on all chars>>> /focus {main char name}
F2 on all chars>>> /focus {2nd char name}
F3 on all chars>>> /focus {3nd char name}
F4 on all chars>>> /focus {4nd char name}
F5 on all chars>>> /focus {5nd char name}
1 on all chars>>> /follow focus
Similar to whats stated above.
Main dies, press F2 (assuming second char is living) then press 1 (to have all chars now following 2nd char). Alts will automatically target off the 2nd char, in this case, as soon as you press F2.
