    Default mutli-boxing and rouges

I was thinking about boxing and class combinations the other day and realized that I really couldn't see working a rouge into any of my multibox combinations. So I am wondering if anyone has a rouge in their "group"? and if so how do you work them in?

The simplest way to integrate a rogue into your group would be to make him your "tank". There really is only room for one melee class per group, it's possible to do more but getting others into melee range alone is painful.

Someone was talking about making a group of all rogues a while back, but I haven't seen an update on that in quite some time.

There, now that that's out of my system....yeah you could have it as your lead char but Rogues require alot of finesse and movement, especially in pvp; keeping behind your target and in some cases crippling poison-kiting/gouge+bandage kiting mobs etc; can't tell you how many times both of my rogues had their asses saved by a gouge and run or lucky gouge/stun + backstab in pve and pvp both. Plus generally yeah, you won't be tanking anything major with it and since melee breaks follow you can only feasibly have one and it'd have to be main.

I used to dual-box 2 rogues while leveling them up.

It's fun to kill the mobs fast, but requires a lot of movement and is a slight PIA.

I'll try this when I get my main hand dagger. Rogue with Shadowstep should put the rogue in dps position.

I tri-boxed a warrior, rogue and shaman. I had the rogue step forward as I sidestepped with my warrior and my shaman stepped back. It wasn't too bad but it definately is more work than just 1 melee char in the group. Also if you go combat swords with your rogue it will make things a bit easier as you don't have to worry about being behind the mob as much. PVP of course is a whole different story...i don't see 2 melee being possible at all.

I found a blog from a guy who was 5 boxing all melee characters. (Maybe with a healer, I forget.) It sounded horrific.

I generally put on my makeup before I multibox, but YMMV.

    Wait... no, I don't.

Ya i wonder how viable the rogue multiboxing for pvp would be, i know the shadow step would rock though

My main is a rogue, but this is Everquest. I don't know how relevent this is for WoW rogues, but usually people view rogues in EQ as being too much trouble to box as well since you do have to position the rog onto the mobs back. In EQ, for most cases, the group sets up in one location and you send a puller out to grab mobs. Puller runs the mob back to the group, warrior taunts, mob agros warrior and you kill. I first tried playing my warrior account on the same computer as my rogue account. Tried to play my warrior as I did my rogue, but I found that does not work well at all. What I settled on was moving my warrior to his own box so I could have seperate controls at the same time. I'd run out with my rogue (rog is my puller), tag a mob and bring it back to the camp. While controlling my rog with my right hand via the mouse, I'd use my left hand to hit hotkeys on my warrior account..such as archery so the warrior starts trying to agro the mob from a distance and then as it gets closer, taunts and incite's so the mob hard agro's onto the warrior and runs straight over to him. So, doing it that way, the mob will set up on my warrior with very little fuss. I almost never move the warrior around once he is set up, it's almost as easy as a caster account to manage. Then I am free to play my rogue without worrying about my other melee.
