My main is a rogue, but this is Everquest. I don't know how relevent this is for WoW rogues, but usually people view rogues in EQ as being too much trouble to box as well since you do have to position the rog onto the mobs back. In EQ, for most cases, the group sets up in one location and you send a puller out to grab mobs. Puller runs the mob back to the group, warrior taunts, mob agros warrior and you kill. I first tried playing my warrior account on the same computer as my rogue account. Tried to play my warrior as I did my rogue, but I found that does not work well at all. What I settled on was moving my warrior to his own box so I could have seperate controls at the same time. I'd run out with my rogue (rog is my puller), tag a mob and bring it back to the camp. While controlling my rog with my right hand via the mouse, I'd use my left hand to hit hotkeys on my warrior account..such as archery so the warrior starts trying to agro the mob from a distance and then as it gets closer, taunts and incite's so the mob hard agro's onto the warrior and runs straight over to him. So, doing it that way, the mob will set up on my warrior with very little fuss. I almost never move the warrior around once he is set up, it's almost as easy as a caster account to manage. Then I am free to play my rogue without worrying about my other melee.
