Default confussed and getting a little pissed off :/

ok .. so here is the deal ... I was getting kinda fed up with everytime I would change from my main (70 hunter) to my dual-box team, my bindings would disapear. I use bongos on my team and don't on my 70. So, I figured that that had something to do with it. And, I figured that since my 2nd accnt never really changes, and it stays the same because of the copy of the WoW folder ... I figured that I could create a new copy of the WoW folder, do my re-configure of KC and all would be good..... BUT ... I have logged and relogged at least 8 times now and my bindings for either Bongos or the reg ui will not show up .... WTF did I do?? Do I need to just kill off the copies and start over or what? I am soooo pissed right now :cursing: :cursing: :cursing:

hmmm.. are you using commands within keyclone to launch your wows?
if so, did you change the 'program...' to point to the new directory?
are you running keyclone as administrator?

I am useing KC to start my 2 new copies .. yes, I did reconfigure KC to open the corect copies .. I even closed out and opend my original copy to make sure that it opened on my main, and my 2 copies open with my twin hunters .... everything seems to be fine as far as KC goes, but the bindings will not reset and stay blank

in that case, it sounds like a wow client issue.

i'm sure someone else here has resolved this issue before.

sorry i'm not more help (i only have 1 installed copy.. not multi-folders)

If Bongos keeps its bindings data in \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<accountname>\SavedVariables, then it's probably going to continue to screw with you. You'll notice this same problem with the OneBag positioning on your screen as it saves its data there, too. Easy solution is probably to just start using bongos on your hunter. :P

The best and the most painful solution i start fresh. I know it sounds fucked up having to wait like 5 hrs for wow to install, but sometime a fresh start makes things work out. Try it. Don't let it burn you out.

When you go into keybindings look in the top right corner of the keybinding window, it has an option for GENERAL or THIS CHARACTER ONLY. Try setting up your non-bongos character's keybindings using the THIS CHARACTER ONLY tab. Hopefully this will retain your keybindings for your non-bongos character.

EDIT: it actually says "Character specific key bindings" and it is a checkbox.

well, I got it working. It was a pain in the ass, but I got it. I pretty much deleted my 2 copies of WoW and re-copied them as wow2 and 3. My orig I left alone. I had to redo ALL of my bindings thru Bongos and a cpl macros, but it works now. As for using Bongos on my main, meh, I am wayyyy too used to the normal UI and I'm a clicker. Anyways, thanks for the help. I have my hunters to 18 now and I think when I hit 19 I'll prob pvp for a while, say up some honor then start lvl'n again.
