The Notes setup, or atleast what I use to play WoW ;)

Ok, my setup is a rare one so if yer new here, don't copy it cos it won't work for you! Don't ask me why but what I'm running should not be able to run 5 WoW's as smooth as it does .... I can even msn, browse the forums / have 5 thott's open / listen to winamp without any probs...

I'm running on a 22" Acer widescreen, in portrait mode, next to my 39" tv I originaly bought for my 360 but now only gets used for 3 WoW's :thumbsup:



As you can see, the portrait mode + TV don't differ that much in hight, making it the perfect 5 box setup for me. The 4 smaller screens are nearly all the same size, with the 1000 by 1080 screen in the center for my main.

I use a 7900 GS with 256 mb of mem, an AMD AThlon 64x2 4200, standard 2.2ghz but I set it to 2.7, 4gb of memory, a few HDD's and Vista Ultimate 64 to make it all work as one.... Wich it does really nice. I use Keyclone and a standard logitech multimedia keyboard, and a standalone number keypad wich only had 1 function set to it at the moment: mount!

I run the WoW's from 2 instances, 1 for the main and the others are linked to a WoW on a different HDD. Funny detail: I load my 5 WoW's on a ship faster then some people I see when traveling using a zappalin /boat :thumbsup: ownd!

Got lvl 40 a few days ago, lost all intereset and now just 'farming' rested bonus because I sooo like the big numbers in my screen after a few kills..... 300xp per kill in SM is nice to level 'fast'...

I can't play much so rested bonus is always there when I play for an hour or so.

After lvl 40, I just seem to loose interest in WoW .... Might be because of the mount, since I'm a totall mount whore :/ And got those now... Anyway trying to keep leveling..Will be buying 3 more TBC's so I can traffel a bit faster using HS / Ateral recal and a lock of mine for summons!... No more boats for me ftw!

I still love multiboxing and I might even start another group ..While 1 group is getting rested the other one gets leveld .. Should be nice and maybe I will finaly get some chars passed the magic level of 46, where I stopped playing my last char -.-

ooh and a little confession, and this might also be the reason why I can play sooo well on this system: the 4 adds run on 10fps when in the background, and my main does 30fps .... This is very low compared to most of you guys but man, does it play well :thumbsup: And that's ofc the most important thing :thumbup:

Haha, tried to contact you this evening, but you logged off the moment I said hi.

I'm boxing on Khadgar too, Alliance side.

What kept me leveling where the 'milestones' if I may call them like that. Mounts at 40, unstable affliction at 50, outlands and epic mounts at 60 etc.... and ofc all those people whispering me when I actualy leveled up one level.

1-60 is realy fast with the improved XP rate on quests and decreased XP needed / level. Outlands gets harder, altough its a massive upgear. Went from mostly SM gear to almost full outlands quest rewards in one day.

Love you man 8) so yer already in outland .. That's kinda the reason I would keep leveling .. While doing some reading here I already feel the NEED to log in and stop whining & just start playing hehe

And I should thank you anyway since is was you who made me going from thinking about multiboxing to just doing it! I will move my chars to shatt this weekend so we should make some fun there! (if my pc can handle it, ofcourse ..)

I see you had the same problem though with you 22's that I do, HTF do you get those stands off?!?!?! So aggrevating. I mean, why provide VESA mount points but make it so you can't remove the base? Whatever.

My very first toon (Rogue) got abandoned at 44 as well. I quit for about 6 months but there was just nothing else to play. I don't watch T.V. at all, other hobbies were cost prohibitive, etc. so I got back in and leveled a warlock to 60. Got pissed off cause after 20 runs in UBRS I never got my stupid robes and quit for 2 more months. Started again, 10 runs later still not robes, quit. A month later I said F it and started dual boxing a Priest and Warrior because all anyone was every LFG for was tank and heals. Got those to 60, then xpac, Priest and Warrior to 70 Raid, Raid, Raid... man Raids suck. Power leveled up Warlock... hrmmm Raids suck for DPS too... still no new games... Friend gave me mage account, well that's 4 hell let's 5 box. Now I'm at 60 with pally + 4 sham and still loving it. Anyway [/tangent off]

After reading that playing with accounts that have different names / fake names might get you banned, I've donewhat's best and contacted Blizz and bought me a new account, just in case. Transfered a maxed out mage twink to it, changed it name, and so my shaman + pally crew became a 3 x shaman, 1 x mage and 1 x paladin crew. And I must say I'm loving it.

The extra ability's and the buff the mage adds, is more usefull then I thought. I mean, remove curse ? Sheep? Frost Nova for mobs that now can't run away anymore :thumbsup: ? It rocks...

So, some screens..... Ooh and my account that was not safe from a ban, now got it's name fixed by Blizzard :love: They were real friendly and it was infact pretty easy to get it done. Soooo after questing and instance farming with my crew, I log on to my 6 char to show off even more kek









And my screen got invaded while I was just trying to get some screens by the SPAM crew as he decied to 'drop' by oO whaha





Not leveling atm as I'm leveling my mage to 42 first, going very smooth as I started at 38 and got it to 41 in litterly no time :thumbsup:
