Default Are they this retarded in your BG's?

    Isle of Conquest
    (IoC Weekend)

On Friday evening I won just under half of the games.
    A very simple strategy.
Send almost everyone to the docks.
Escort the Glaives to the West Gate; don't have Glaives run off without an escort.
Blow it up, from max range.
Enter the keep, kill the boss, win.

Then on Sunday... winning 0% of the games.
With the tactic of no matter what we say, half go to the main objective (WS or Docks).
And the other half either go to the other or Hangar or do something else.
Not one game yet, out of 20, where everyone did one thing.

In six of the games (30%) people take their machine and go into the middle and farm kills.
Or camp a graveyard with a Demolisher... but don't try to win the game.

In several games the horde managed both the Workshop and the Docks.

    On the plus side...
    For those who need honor.
Losing six games an hour, is basically the same honor as winning two and losing two per hour.
Three quick losses is similar honor to an average speed win and an average speed loss.

Just rather frustrating that the players on Sunday suck so badly in relation to those from Friday.

Wow, I had the exact opposite experience. I play on firtree, horde side.

Usually, horde follows a simple strategy. Eveyone rushes worshop, if few alliance are there, 10horde stay behind to cap it and the rest rush docks to either stop alliance or kill the glaives.

I usually flank the alliance at the docks by attacking on the opposite side they expect. I summon x4 army and blow all my cooldown while priest fears and spams heals. It is usually enough the delay alliance from capping the docks. If they do cap it, I kill the glaives. If they kill me, I rez at workshop and find the glaives and destroy them, then recap docks. After all that, I usually defend the horde keep from the bomb runners. This delays the allies from breaking the gate so horde can win.

I lost only one game this weekend (out of maybe 24 played).

In one game, it was completely rediculous. I summoned x4 army at docks to delay the allies...they had 15 seconds till docks capped. They were so distracted by my dks and armies, my priest managed to cap docks! Yes, cap and horde got glaives, siege engine, and demos. We won that match handily.

I honestly don't know why allies go docks every time. Glaives are weak. A good 5-man squad (such as my team) can kamekaze them down. They require a large escort for it to work.

With workshop, demos and sieges are a lot tougher and don't need much of and escort.

On my server (and battlegroup) the Alliance blows at PvP. We lose almost every BG of any kind I play and we can't seem to win TB either attacking or defending. It makes me really, really hate PvP.
As for IoC, Alliance seems to love Docks and Hangar. Horde ALWAYS rushes WS with nearly everyone, so any Alliance that go there get killed quickly. I've never seen Alliance send enough to WS to compete with 40 Horde.

Glaives have 3x the DPS of the Demo's.
If you can protect them, you will get into the keep first in every game.
First side in, wins 95% of the time.

Almost every game, the horde send 25+ to Workshop.
It is rather rare that an equal number of alliance can kill horde.
I've seen the alliance take WS once, on the initial push; horde went docks with 30ish we went WS with 30ish, they still won.
Most won't go WS, even if everyone that talks in BG chat say to go there.
So the alliance basically backs down from pvp, in a battleground... and takes the targets the horde want less.

Demos/Sieges have rarely one-shot my team, with 3.3k res and fully buffed including feasts.. they're definitely far more durable than Glaives.
The whole vehicle mechanic is Warcraft is stupid; I don't want to play Tanks, Helicopters and Airplanes, or Knights (ToC)... I want to play DKs, Druids, whatever.

I suppose most alliance, at least on my server/battlegroup look at the game from a PvE point of view -- players vs bosses, not from a player vs player point of view.
At least it seems that way.

    Combined play... this weekend.
I'm 13 Wins, 39 Losses in IoC... with 3.3k res toons.
Vehicles absolutely rape my team in IoC, might as well be naked level 12's... they can down my whole group in 1-2 seconds and it takes 20 seconds for me to down a Demo.

Conversely, while I lost probably 80% of AV's while gearing up...
    I'm winning 2 in 3, now that I'm geared.

Except when Pinotnoir and Kicksome camp the ally boss with their dk teams ensuring no horde will have any chance of entering the room alive ... But maybe that's the 5% you were referring to.

I play horde, and all weekend long I was sniping glaives. There were very few games the alliance even broke into the keep. The alliance won 2-3 games out of the 15-20 I played.

Hmm, demos don't give me problems at all. They are slow and have a facing requirement. Since IWT causes the toons to do a swirling tornado of death, they can never face me

Only thing that can 1-2 shot my team is a siege engine or a glaive, but I always approach from behind unnoticed. Even if I do die, I can rez up quick and finish them off.

It seems that defend or kill vehicles is a good strategy for us boxers.
Yesterday i played 17:5. Went always docks and defend glaives.
But I must admit, my alliance mates played mostly well organized and we had rarely a dumb glaive driver.

    Weekend Battleground: ~ 1min

Yea, usually the best strat for a boxer is to protect the Glaives or destroy them.

I find it easier to destroy the alliance glaives. In one game, I swear there was at least 20 alliance on escort duty. It didn't matter, I popped all my cool down and focused on killing the glaives. They feared me, frost novaed me, and CCed me, but in the end I destroyed both glaives (took two rez cycles though).

Delayed the alliance long enough for horde to win.

Like TeamGrizzly, sometimes I'll play as x4 blood. I'm almost unkillable and provide a good distraction while the real dpsers kill the everyone else. When it comes time for the boss, my crew + x4 army makes a fine tank.
