    Default Rogue's Sapping

What do you do in response to rogues sapping your team in Battlegrounds?

I've had this in a few games.

A few days ago, there were three rogues who were sapping the team.
And eventually decided to go for a kill, which didn't work out too well for them; I suppose the DK's and Pally have a lot of armor, and are over 3200 resilience.

Today, I had a pair of rogues chaining Sap and Distraction on the team.
I managed to get one of them out of stealth with the round-robin Death & Decay, laid down a large area...
And killed the rogue almost instantly as soon as I saw him.
But the other rogue was either out of the area or did the Cloak of Skill move.
He did a bunch more Saps on the team.
I eventually just left the one DK behind (ran around the side of the hill).
He decided to open on the DK, and I did a Death Grip and Heals...
    He Vanished...
And did not engage again, but did spend the entirety of the BG sapping one or another of my toons.
The Death and Decays and Consecrate never pulled him out.

I don't mind so much being chain sapped, when I'm at an objective point, and holding it until it caps.
And I still kill random horde that come within Death Grip range.
And once in combat they cannot be sapped.

Still annoying when you're not in combat.
Especially if you're on the path or the Field of Strife, and not near anything strategic.

What is your approach to this?

I bloody hate it. When I played my rogues, I never seemed to be able to avoid AOE when sapping people. But it seems like every fucking rogue these days can sap from 40+ yards away. It amazes me that with my star formation and 4 DnD spread out evenly with Blood Boil's spamming.

    Hate it.

Hate it hate it hate it hate it.

I just usually run off and let them start opening on my DK. Because 9/10 when I run off with my other 4, they open up. Death Grip + HoJ. If they trinket I spam Death Coils keeping them in combat, and then I hope they don't have Vanish + Preperation... So I can avoid the mess 3-4 times over.

Not a fix, but you might ride with others or avoid the middle field of attention. Try the sides. I have just let them occupy themselves with 1 of my chars, but I have 5, you can keep busy with 1 while I cap a place with my 4. When the 1 resses (if we have a good place to res, if not, I fight), I just ride him solo to the others while they wait at a place I want to hold. I haven't had a rogue sap any of my single players, only in a group.

When i came back to wow i was suprised by how far away you can be from a mob in a dungeon and still sap. Convenient for pve but i ththink it was an unnecessary change. You can walk the extra five yards to sap? Shitty stealth for all but Subtlety was the issue, not range on sap. Even with distract you could get close enough as combat to sap mobs. Just making the class even easier - no fadeleaf now, no vanishing powder, no blinding powder, no lockpick practice or quest required, and no poison mixing required.

Soon they will move at full speed in stealth. I do like that idea.

For the average player though, silly range sap is much less irritating than LOL MACE STUN spec was.

I'm adding Blood Boil on round-robin.
That will help some, an extra 4-8 Consecrates basically.

I have Death and Decay, both as everyone does it (mouse broadcast, send next click), and as round-robin (send next click) to spread that over a large area.
Had not thought of it, but could use a spread out macro... will have to play with that.

What stops him from cloak of skill and vanish and/or sprint? If he wants to get away, he will. Then just wait 2 mins for CDs and then do it again. Most times, their goal isn't to fight, so trying to get them to fight will just be met by CDs.

I've been running chain BG's, mostly AV's... 10-20 per night, for the last month.
This has been an issue in maybe three games.

It's not a common occurrence; but is annoying as hell when it does happen.
Was just looking at how others deal with this.

Have you tried cats eye elixir? It supposedly helps with stealth detection. I have no idea how well it works or if it will help at all, but it might be worthwhile to keep a vial or two on hand.
