Default 2x WoW on one computer, not working well.

    Hello,

I've had a couple of attemps now at running 2x WoW on one computer, getting the hang of basic keybinding and stuff, using Keyclone and a mod or two. Had tons of fun with a couple of warlocks, and recently had an attempt with two mages. Unfortunately, I'm getting heavy hardware lag. My 'on top' character runs O.K, doesn't look too choppy, but the toon on follow is really struggling. Follow breaks and it's real bad. Naturally, I've tried minimizing all the video settings and I've also made sure to set my graphics card to run on 'performance' settings, in addition to taking care of my computer in general (keeping it clean). I'm guessing my speccs could be better, but if there's anything I've missed, please let me know.

Are you running 2x windowed WoWs on one screen? 2x full screen?

With those specs it shouldn't be giving you any problem whatsoever with 2 sessions.

That machine should run 2 wows with no problem, as long as the graphics settings are near minimum. I dunno what the problem is. There are many possibilities. Hard to troubleshoot without seeing things in person. =/

Hmm I've done 1x full screen/1x windowed and I've also run it like this; toon1 at one monitor and toon2 at another monitor (hooked up on the same graphics card). I'm curious about why you're asking.. perhaps that's what I missed out on. I'll try 2x full screen and also 2x windowed, let's see what happens.

edit: aww, great. Now they're both on windowed full screen and it works much better, running at 30-40 fps. Great! I used to do this a lot in Diablo II, I'd have a buffbot pala following me and stuff.. I had almost forgotten how fun it was. I'll try not to hassle you with too many newbie questions.. thanks
