    Default T11 raids & multiboxers

Every other month a post appears from an enthusiastic multiboxer that want to start boxing raids, many aspire it, but only very few have succeeded. In ICC netsja (?) did awesome multiboxing her 4 shamans, doing fights that were seen as impossible to box. Funkstar got his 5x shadowmournes and boxed the lich king. Mercurio pioneered with 10boxing, beating bosses seen as impossible as well. Probably forgetting a few but those are the notorious ones I recall.

Farming all normal bosses for about 2 months now on my elemental shaman in 25m, some on 10 mode on alts, so have experienced a few ins and outs first hand. My guild has asked me a few times now to bring in a slave when someone needs to leave or dc's, on content that we have on farm. That's when I started to think about this. So I figured I might share my 2 cents on what is possible and what not.

But first a few general observations/findings:

    • by no means T11 raids can be compared in difficulty with T10 (ICC). T11 is really challenging until you outgear the place or have so much experience that your strategy is perfect.
    • while 10 and 25 modes are intended to have the same difficulty, 10 man mode is for quite a few fights really dependent on the proper raid setup (enhancement shaman to interrupt, hunter for MD and frost dk for slows for example). without it they can be way harder than 25m
    • on many fights casters are more desired than melee, when stacking too much melee you'll might hit a wall on fights that are easy with casters
    • my overview is from a caster point of view, and I think 3 seems to be a good number to box, both for 10 and 25 man. The problem with more in 25m is that there are more players will get a debuff than on 25, so if rng is against you, all your toons need to do something different
    • when I tag the difficulty level for a boss, that is considering 3 caster dps with gear & tools that are currently available, anticipating on future nerfs / gear is beyond my interest

    Blackwing Descent

    Magmaw

    Tank and spank.

Ranged: fairly simple fight, 3 different targets, hardly any movement where slaves can be on follow
Melee: in 10m having 3 melee will hurt the raid as you won't have enough dps on ads, in 25m it's no big deal
10 box: possible, if you play the ads kiter, your team will need to strafe left/right now and then and can be stacked; biggest challenge is to figure out a way to jump onto magmaw and chain him with 2 toons
    Difficulty: easy

    Omnitron Defense System

Council fight with 4 bosses (2 active at a time), run out with debuff

Ranged: fairly simple fight if you can run out with debuff, it might happen that 2 toons at the same time need to run out with a debuff
Melee: nothing special as long as you can move out of goo and run out with the debuff
10 box: possible, quite hectic since a lot is going on at the same time
    Difficulty: medium

    Maloriak

Ranged: spread out, hug up, run out with debuff
    Melee: same as ranged
10 box: possible, though interrupting & picking up ads might be challeging
    Difficulty: easy

    Atramedes

The worse you play, the more dmg you take from his 'big ability'. You will need to move out of raid with 1 toon, need to dodge goo & move out with others stacked. meanwhile you'll need to hit gongs to reset the debuff meter

Ranged: stay stacked and have slaves on follow all the time as long as you move out of the raid with debuff & avoid goo dmg
    Melee: same as ranged
10 box: this will be quite a challenger, you will need to move out of raid with 1 toon, need to dodge goo & move out with others stacked. meanwhile you'll need to hit gongs to reset the debuff meter
    Difficulty: medium

    Chimaeron
    :

spread out & gather up, in the last phase he'll kill player after player, starting with highest on threat list and moving down

Ranged: easy, tank & spank, gather up & spread out
    Melee: same as ranged
10 box: might be the easiest to 10 box
Difficulty: really easy, though dps check

    Nefarian

Ranged: P1 is tank & spank; P2 is might be a challenge to jump on the platform with all slaves, p3 tank and spank
Melee: about the same as ranged, except if you stack multiple melee in 10m on 1 platform it might affect the raid
10 box: i don't see this possible as it requires you to jump on 3 different platforms at the same time in P2 mainly, yet alone that you need to tank 2 bosses in P1 + take care of ads
Difficulty: medium due to jumping on the platform + dps requirements

    Bastion of Twilight

    Halfus Wyrmbreaker

    Ranged
: easy, depending on setup you'll have to dodge fireballs on the ground
    Melee: easy
10 box: quite possible, depending on the setup
    Difficulty: easy

    Valiona & Theralion

Ranged: doable as long as you move out with debuff(s); quite some movement
    Melee: same as ranged
10 box: quite insane as a lot of debuff handling & aoe dodging required at the same time
Difficulty: medium as it can be hectic when you need to move with multiple toons at the same time in different (unpredictable) directions

    Ascendant Council

a very hectic fight with all sorts of buffs/debuffs in phase 1 & 2

    Ranged
: doable but phase 2 can be hectic to sort out the buffs / debuffs , P1 & P3 are straightforward
    Melee: same as ranged
10 box: quite insane if you have to control everything, P2 will drive you nuts, so I say impossible
    Difficulty: hard

    Cho'gall

Ranged: easy, gather up, dodge goo, switch target and nuke, P3 might require some tweaking if a slave gets sick and you need to face it away from raid
Melee: same as ranged, though in 10m its going to hurt the raid
10 box: possible with right setup, but P3 will be obstackle, rest of fight is tank & spank, pick up add, move out of goo; dps requirement is pretty tight, gonna need mass dispell
Difficulty: medium due to dps requirements

    Throne of the Four Winds

    Conclave of Wind

Ranged: fairly easy, slaves can be on follow entire time
Melee: might be more challenging than ranged
10 box: impossible as you fight at 3 platforms at the same time, with heavy movement and kiting of ads
    Difficulty: easy

    Al'Akir

survive phase 1 and it's easymode, P3 requires you to run out of raid with debuff

Ranged: going to require a lot of practice to sort out the spreading & gathering up again as you'll get killed by chain lightning, doable though,
Melee: nearly impossible as your toons will fight at different spots, and each of them will need to move back and forth a lot
10 box: bliz might award 1 kkkk $ to first person to 10 box this and will never have to pay out
    Difficulty: hard
