They haven't mentioned a price reduction.
Just that players who choose to pay for their own transfer will retain the same guild and rank within the guild.

If its a 25 man guild, that's at least 25 characters transfering.
Possibly quite a bit more than that, if alts were involved too.
Or players who aren't in the 25-man raid, perhaps alternate raiders, etc.
