Boomkins in Cata

Has anyone tried this? Since the Solar Beam nerf got revoked in the PTR im considering rolling 4-5 boomkins again

I ran 4 boomkins 1 resto at the start of cata, not that much fun tbh, aoe fears really screw you over in pvp. I can see it being fun though when you've got a priest following you and mass dispelling in BGs.

• Starfall - Shapeshifting into an animal form or mounting cancels the effect. Any effect which causes you to lose control of your character will suppress the starfall effect.

So possibly a hybrid group.
4x Boomkin and 1x Healer.

Where the healer can mass dispel fear.
Which means Disc or Holy Priest or a Shaman with Tremor totem.

That could be a PvE viable team too.
As the Boomkin can Bear-Tank.
The healer can heal.
And you have 3x Ranged Boomkin DPS.

I've always liked the Boomkin.
And they have AoE power between Treants, Hurricane and Starfall.
Not sure I like their burst so much.
The entire Eclipse mechanic sucks for PvP.
Pretty much get into an Eclipse state and then spam Moonfire (which can be Sunfire with talents).
For PvP, Sunfire is worthwhile; but it breaks the macro, meaning you cannot have a mindless spam macro for PvE with the Sunfire talents.

Now that there are not instant roots..
How well would a mapped key / hotkey work that roots with Druid A, and mouse broadcasts with Druid B for Solar Beam.
Basically press the key, while targeting someone and move your mouse circle over them.
When they stop moving (rooted), click the mouse circle with them in it.

Alternatively, you could with camera views, set up Solar Beam to cover a large area... say the entire interior of Galv/Belinda's room, and then unleash Starfall and Hurricanes.
