new to sony vegas help

i want to make a video of some pvp unlike my others and with a new unknown pvp team. i have this one will be made in sony vegas 10 pro but i cant seem to cropt the video where i want and not really sure how to use it.
so any help would be great worse comes to worse ill get on skype and some one can talk me threw it
