Default Spriests or Druids as sideproject?

Hello, as a side project id like to have an additional team and it currently stands bitween.

    4x Spriests
    or
    4x Druids

I already have 4x Dks and 4x Shamans team and i mainly (because i only box 4) focus on PvP but like a comp that can handle both pvp/pve.

Thoughts about races (alliance) and what class would fit best?

Was also thinking about what class is getting nefs in the future etc. Knowing about priests shield nerf in mind.

Boomkin lacks heals in their DPS form.
And lose a lot of defense out of Boomkin.
But if your focus is larger battlegrounds and PvE, they'll rock.

I'd actually look at Feral Druids.
In 4.1, the Feral Roar (83 spell) will break roots AoE for 8 seconds (Dash will too).
And you can round-robin that for 32 seconds of immunity every 2 or 3 minutes.
Berserk doesn't deal with fear anymore, which sucks... but only shammies are really better than anything else for fears.
Ferals have more DPS, than anything I've ever boxed; they're sick in a good way.

    If you were doing Priests...
I'd probably go dual spec on each.
Shadow and either Disc/Holy or Holy/Disc.
Then you can retain mobility, and mix and match how much healing to dps you want.
Probably 3 DPS:1Heals, most of the time.
But you could run 4x Heals now and then, too.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

So you dont think 4x Shadows would be viable in pvp/arena?

Priest is my favorite class but in your situation i would say druids because theyre more versatile. They do crazy dps as cats without worrying about mana, you get stealth, and they are pretty good healers (second to priests imo).

I believe shadowmeld drops all threat but no longer drops combat. I think i read that but im not sure since i never use it. For race, id pick night elf just because the worgen running wild animation looks retarded to me.
    Working on the following teams:
    (85) - PVP - Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Resto Druid
    (85) - Paladin tank, cat druid, fire mage, demon lock, holy priest
    (80) - Dk tank, destro lock, bm hunter, enh shaman, holy priest
    (85 pally/lock) powerleveling 34 toons under 70

While in Shadowmeld, you lose all threat... but regain it as soon as you leave.
And it no longer drops you out of combat; I used to be able to Shadowmeld > Flightform... in the middle of world or Wintergrasp pvp.

At lower levels, Shadow wasn't terribly good.
But that's not level 85 play, with all their toys.

Not sure how well you would heal your party.
With four of you, each would have a direct Shadow Priest healing (themselves).
And you would have three extras doing the supplemental group heals, most of the time.
But in random BG's there's no guarantee they get the same group.

Shadow could rock, I've not played it enough to say yes or not.

I know Feral (with five druids) and basically full crafted pvp gear.
Against players in full honor gear (almost a tier ahead).
Were essentially one shot, or close enough, from the Feral Charge - Ravage opener.
And the Mangle, Rake, Mangle, Mangle, Rip was a lot of pressure.
Uptime is key, and you don't have it now, but will in 4.1
Fear will suck, the same as it does for any non-shaman group.

Another vote for druids. Bear tanking should get a little easier in 4.1 and kitty/boomkin would both be more than enough to do heroics and old world stuff (I do Kael weekly on my ferals now).

As far as PVP, ferals should be in a good place once 4.1 is released. Stampeding Roar will break roots of affected targets so having four or five of them available will really help us keep on our targets. I got a set of Vicious Gladiator's Staff for my team last week and I can say that the damage is there, even against high res targets you can certainly have a lot of fun in non-rated BG's or world pvp. You might even try doing a team of resto druids. I saw a video of a guy on the German forums having a lot of fun healing in BG's that way.
