Default High CPU issues with Octopus

Everytime I fire up Octopus, my whole computer starts to run slow. Mouse movements is in slow motion, with some lagg spikes here and there. My processor is @ 90 to 100 %, but when I close the program the computer is fine. Something Ive set up wrong in octopus settings?

I notice that it uses 25% CPU (in task manager) on mine as well. Not all the time but enough to notice. Never hurt things enough to worry about for WoW, but I did notice it in EVE.

Well, Ive got 3 computers connected to my main trough octopus. And it seems that everytime I start up octopus and connect my 3 alt computers my main gets slow when doing tasks such as web surfing, loading wow, playing wow. I can run 2 wow clients at the same time on my main without any problems, but the problems starts when I open Octopus.

    Spec:

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8200 @2,66 GHz 2,68 GHz
    6 gig ram
    Windows Vista 32 bit
    GeForce 9600 GT

Btw, whats the newst version of Octopus? Currently running with 1.3.8 ver

though I don't think it is this, i'll say it anyway. I notice that programs can hang alot if they encounter dropped packets when waiting from client ank's. id just check that you don't have an excess of dropped packets when you do a simple ping -t from main to other computers. One bad computer nic can cause your entire problem. Can't say why it would be taking up a ton of cpu resources as this wouldn't address that issue. GL on your fix :P

So Im able to ping every computer connected through Octopus and on my network, 4 packets sent, 4 packet recieved, 0 % loss on all connections.

But I tried to reinstall wow and change which folder it was installed on. Seems that it helped alot, but still getting semi slow reactions on my main computer when connected with Octopus. And from time to time my keyboard and mouse switches computer, and the only way to get back to my main screen is by ctrl + alt + del. Log off, then log on. Using Input Director for this. Whats causing this? The connections between my computers seems fine.

Make sure you don't have Octopus set up for KM as it will fight with Input Director if you do. Also, in the input director options, there is a setting that caused the cursor to jump left/right on me, too. If I don't remember to check that tonight, PM me and I'll put it on my list.
