    Default New user, few questions

    I've used Keyclone for the longest then put all my slave accounts on hold for a good 7 months now. Just started them back up and am now triple boxing, down from 4. I decided to make the switch to ISBoxer this time and having a little trouble getting setup. I've used the wizard, but when I set up the window layouts, I can't figure out how to set the ingame resolution to better fit the window size. Keyclone had this feature, but I can't seem to find out how to use this in ISBoxer.

    Another thing I'm tryin to figure, or remember, is how to take my saved settings for my main's addons and copy them over to my slaves. Particularly Bartender4 layouts and my Move Anything addon settings. Another thing, I used to have my accounts set up with Symbolic linked folders with KC, is this still advisable for ISB or even needed? If not, come patch days, how do I update my slave's accounts? I opened up the Task manager and saw that the .exes are running around 500k+ each on my system. Before, my main used to only take up about that much, if not less, and slaves only took up half that at all times. I've added more addons since then, but slaves have way less addons turned on than my main and all video/sound settings turned down to minimum and off, where main is the same, except for a couple things that's needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated here as I'm really wanting to get back into the fray fast. Got some folks I've been running with that have trouble filling out their raids and I offered I could add a few to their ranks.

    I assume by "better fit" you mean "match the resolution to the region size". To do this, disable Instant Swapping in your Window Layout. (this will also bump your FPS up, see http://isboxer.com/wiki/WoW:Quick_St...considerations) You'll lose perfect mouse broadcasting by doing this, although you can apply a scaling option in your Repeater Profile.

    Each Addon is different, and has its own saved variable files in your WTF\Account folders. There is no good answer to this question unfortunately, I recommend setting them all up at the same time with broadcasting (Repeater), when possible.

    No and no. You can use a single folder with ISBoxer. This is covered in http://isboxer.com/wiki/WoW:Quick_St...le_WoW_folders.

    500mb per window is expected, I think this has been the case since wotlk.

    If you run the wizard initially it should have a Layout set up for you.
    From inside the Toolkit, you can right click on Layout and run the wizard there too.

    The easiest way to have the same settings is to turn repeater on, and configure everything on all screens at the same time.
    With IS Boxer Repeater will have the mouse in precisely the same position on every client.
    As long as your copies of wow are all at the same resolution.

    You don't need Symbolic Links at all.
    IS Boxer will virtualize your config file for each character.
    Giving you different settings on a per character basis.
    There's no gain from SymLinks with IS Boxer, plus it can be a patching hassle, etc.

    The IRC on www.isboxer.com will have a faster response rate than here.
    But posting here works if you cannot hang in the channel for a while.

    Thanks alot for the fast replies guys. I'll work on my setups tonite then. Guess it's time I made a new layout with Bartender anyway to better suit this play style. Haven't been in an IRC channel in over a decade, but I'll see if I can get the hang of it again and drop in from time to time.

    Got another one for ya. I've read the guides on how to set up my G11 macro keys to use in ISB, but I can't seem to get them to work for some reason. Main thing I wanted to do was be able to broadcast these, my Fkeys, and second row hotbar (shift+1 - 9) to all toons in the whitelist like I with Keyclone. Every time I hit one of these keys, especially one of my Mkeys, that all have modifiers, won't show up in the list with a modifier. They just show up as the regular keys. Below is the orginal Logitech keymap I set up that worked with KC, was wondering if there's a way for me to still use my keys like I did before. Even on my solo toons, I use my shift+1-4 for situational spells, debuffing targets, threat dropping spells, etc. Now, I can't get these to work on my team. Right now I've only set up a team of 3 shaman I'm starting out with as Elementals. Also havin a bit of trouble getting my #1 key setup to be my default melee+iwt key I'm planning on using on all my teams cause constantly having to turn on and off mouse broadcasting to talk to npcs/loot/skin corpses is a bit frustrating, or would this work like I'm wanting? Anyway, thanks again for the help, and here's my current key layout for my Gkeys:

    M1
    Shift + F1 -------------Shift + F2 -------------Shift + F3
    Shift + F4 -------------Shift + F5 -------------Shift + F6
    Shift + F7 -------------Shift + F8 -------------Shift + F9
    Shift + F10 -------------Shift + F11 -------------Shift + F12
    Ctrl + Num 1 ------------- Ctrl + Num 2 -------------Ctrl + Num 3
    Ctrl + Num 4 -------------Ctrl + Num 5 -------------Ctrl + Num 6

    M2
    Ctrl + F1 -------------Ctrl + F2 -------------Ctrl + F3
    Ctrl + F4 -------------Ctrl + F5 -------------Ctrl + F6
    Ctrl + F7 -------------Ctrl + F8 -------------Ctrl + F9
    Ctrl + F10 -------------Ctrl + F11 -------------Ctrl + F12
    Ctrl + Shift + 1 -------------Ctrl + Shift + 2 ------------- Ctrl + Shift + 3
    Ctrl + Shift + 4 -------------Ctrl + Shift + 5 -------------Ctrl + Shift + 6

    M3
    Ctrl + 1 ------------- Ctrl + 2 -------------Ctrl + 3
    Ctrl + 4 -------------Ctrl + 5 ------------- Ctrl + 6
    Ctrl + 7 -------------Ctrl + 8 -------------Ctrl + 9
    Ctrl + 0 -------------Ctrl + - -------------Ctrl + =
    Alt + 1 -------------Alt + 2 -------------Alt + 3
    Alt + 4 -------------Alt + 5 -------------Alt + 6
    Another thing I can't get to broadcast across each region are my number pad keys, arrow keys, and the 6 buttons just above them (home,end,del) buttons. I must've done something wrong somewhere, but these won't even work if I set up a team using the wizard, which I have been doing. Tried tweaking the repeater options, but still no luck.

    I would recommend using Mapped Keys, for each of these.
    Rather than a Whitelist or Blacklist.

    Keyclone sends every keystroke to all windows.
    Unless you whitelist, in which case it only sends those keys.
    Or you can black list and never send any keys.

    With Mapped Keys...
    They go to the targets you want.
    Setting a mapped key as Window: Current... is the same as Blacklisting so it is never broadcast to the others.
    Setting a mapped key as Window: All Without Current... is similar to a White List, but this does not apply to the current window.

    You can use "Create Many Mapped Keys" to create a whole bunch at once.

    At the simplest level.
    Have a hotkey to activate a mapped key.
    These will be G1 through G18.
    You'll need to click the arrow to the right of the dialogue box, and scroll down to the bottom to select G1 or whatever as your hotkey.
    You cannot press G-keys in the dialogue box like you can for most other keys or key combinations.
    Then set the output from that G-Key as, Key Actions > Keystroke Actions > Whatever Key Combination to All Windows (Window All w/ Current) or any target you please.

    You need to create mapped keys for your arrow keys.

    IS Boxer has two modes of broadcast.
    Which you can enable/disable independently.

    Repeater is like Keyclone Broadcasting.
    Anything you type or click is broadcast to all clients.

    Keymaps are your hotkeys.
    The Control Group (which allows switching from one toon to another, or enabling/disabling the other Keymaps) is always on.
    The General and FTL DPS Keys can be enabled or disabled.

    I disable Keymaps and enable Repeater to enter my password in all accounts at once.
    I play with Keymaps enabled and Repeater disabled, for 99% of my play.
    If I need to click a portal, I will enable Mouse Repeater, click it and then disable it...without disabling Keymaps.

    I've broken Repeater into Keyboard Repeater and Mouse Repeater.
    That's an example in the Keymap section of my guide, in my signature.
    Even though many of the mapped keys that I create as examples are now wizard generated base features of IS Boxer, the process of making them (even if you don't keep them) shows how the software works.
    It doesn't even mention Clickbars or Video Feeds... but is a good starting point.

    M1/M2/M3 aren't toggles to activate/disable a bank of G-Keys.
    If you checked out the guide on IS Boxer's page... "How to Use Any Key as a Modifier", you could set them up to be modifiers.
    Or instead of execute a step on Press or Release, you could execute on Release only... and with two steps... set them up to act as before.

    I've personally gone with:
    G1 = IWT
    G6 = Toggle the IWT I have integrated into melee spam on/off
    G13 = Switch to Region 1
    G14 = Switch to Region 2
    .... G17 = Switch to Region 5
    G18 = Invite Toons

    M1 = Key Repeater Toggle (Light Action to show me the state)
    M2 = Mouse Repeater Toggle (Light Action to show me the state)
    M3 = Keymaps Toggle (Light Action too)

    MR = Nothing
    Alt + MR = Have all toons report everyone in the BG (that is not from my server) as AFK.

    Yes, you can use modifiers with G-Keys if you want.

    Also, if you want the Profiler software to function as before.
    You can run it as Administrator.

    If you want to use the IS Boxer version.
    Basically use those keys as hotkeys.
    You need to clear out the profile, so it is absolutely blank including nothing set as a toggle or repeat/spam key.
    Start it up, while IS Boxer is running, then Ctrl + Shift + Escape, go to Processes and End Process for LGDCore.exe
    Personally I need to start Profiler and then End-Process every time I start Inner Space for this to work; but I've been told I shouldn't have to do this each time.
