Thread: Cata world pvp

    Default Cata world pvp

I just recently got my first team to the cata zones. After seeing insane hp levels of 85s i was worried about getting constantly camped once reaching the busiest zones in the game. I equIpped my team members with enough 78-79 greens that they all had a minimum of 25k health before 80.

Well i got attacked for the first time last night. I was doing that horridly annoying bunny/squirrel gathering quest where you aggro 10 fire demons while chasing one squirrel around. Anyway, my locks health started dropping very fast, which was odd since my pally had aggro, according to grid. I swung the camera around to see beyond the wall of flame in my face and there was an 85 retadin beating on my lock.

The lock died by the time i figured out what was going on. I killed the paladin (who bubbled to heal and then later used lay on hands). It was like killing an elite since it was like the pally had 300% health but i didnt lose anyone else. The horde did try killing different toons during that battle but i had no problem keeping everyone alive with a click heal holy priest. My priest is a gnome so shes hard to target.

I admit the paladin was crappy but it was still satisfying to finally triumph over an 85.
    Working on the following teams:
    (85) - PVP - Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Resto Druid
    (85) - Paladin tank, cat druid, fire mage, demon lock, holy priest
    (80) - Dk tank, destro lock, bm hunter, enh shaman, holy priest
    (85 pally/lock) powerleveling 34 toons under 70

As you progress through the zones, your health and damage will increase.

I found, going from 84th to 85th is a large health increase without the gear improving that much.
As in going from say 75k to 90k health, on the level up.
But everything previous, was pretty much health/damage as a result of better gear and rather gradual.

There are quite a few bunny like quests.
Maybe a dozen or so, throughout Cataclysm.
    Make a macro, /Target Whatever.
    Click that, then do IWT.
Makes those quests simple, instead of annoying.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.
