Update om hunters: dinged 85 today on all 5 hunters leaving me @ 98 k hp on all with pet buffs! Bought the bloodthirsty head right away since Ive saved up some honor from leveling, have enough for one more piece dropped an epic plate dps back today in Tol'Vir normal, in need of some gold for en enchants, glyphs and gems! Thinking about what prof to chose, I'd love to have alchemy for pots to do dungeons, and herbalism for minor healing and haste buff. But JC + herbalism is sweet aswell for kick ass gems stacked with haste and healing spell! Alch + herb = PvE proffs. JC + herb = PvP <-- what to chose?

I would strongly consider the PvP Gloves.
If the bonus is anything even half worthwhile to Hunters, this is probably the way to go.
You'll definitely be choosing between Chest, Legs, Gloves and whatever the other piece is, for the two piece Resilience bonus.
And have the PvP 2 minute trinket very high on your list as well.

After that, if you bought the crafted PvP sets... upgrade the slots without Resilience first.
If you did not buy the crafted sets, then probably get the four-piece bonus.

Make arena, whether 5's or 2's a priority.
The Conquest weapons are much better than anything previously available.

I would recommend Alchemy as one of your two professions on all of your teams.
The double duration potions is nice, and you can make a flask with unlimited uses, +80 to your attack stat.

The profession benefit is decent, but the main draw is the transmutes.

Initially take either of the other two specializations, then spend the gold to respec to transmute master; that is much cheaper than acquiring Primal Mights.
You could have a Potion and an Elixir master, if you'll make your own potions for use, but personally I'd go Transmute master on them all.

Take them only to 485 skill, for Transmute Elements.
Purchase Volatile Life (15 per toon).
And in Uldum (so you get Volatile Air, every time), do the Transmute Elements.
(You can park four of the five at Vortex Pinnacle, and have the fifth in Org/SW; instant-mail from the same account to the 5th toon, use the Summoning Stone, distribute Life, Transmute, transfer Air+Procs to the 5th and Hearth).
Air sells for more than twice Life, on my server... and while the value for each is slowly dropping, it is consistent and easy gold.
This transmute will grey out at 520 (of 525 max) skill; the cheapest path to 525 is 15x Whiptail + 15x Alicite per toon, which opens Truegold.

I'm sitting at +400,000g since the launch of Cataclysm, with an army of 29 transmutes per day.
I've missed a day here or there, probably 20 or so days of transmutes, but still basically 3 months of transmutes for 400k profit.
With 20% as many alchemists (initially), I would be +80k at this stage.

If you've recently done RAF, toons only need to be 75th to train Alchemy beyond 450.

Sounds fun, but what do you expect camouflage to do for you? lol the enemy can still see you, just cant target you right?

but if you can do it, go for it. i think its going to be a frustrating first week of BGs and arenas, though hehe.

BG's, at least the larger scale ones... probably not that frustrating.
Arena will likely suck initially... but once they have most of the honor gear, I've won in 2's with hunters in all three specs.

In 4.1, whenever that comes, the rate we gain honor is supposed to double.
4.2 is the new raid content/arena season, so no gear reset until then... plenty of time to get arena stuff, gradually.
And to have maxed out honor points to buy any of the (current) Conquest stuff that is missing when they change over.

Arena update: did 3s yesterday, just wanted to try it out. Met a 122 k hp DK, 117 k hp hunter and a 123 k disc priest! They steamrolled over my hunters which only have 334 resilience and 96 k hp. Then decided om 2s, met a mage and disc priest with 120 k hp, FML so figured I needed more honor gear every match I did some dmg, and didnt lose a toon right away. Only did 1 match of 3s and 1 match of 2s

Agree, 5s is the only place where 4 hunters can shine! Met a priest today when doing daily TB quests, and after sneaking up on him I gave him 5 aimed shots + 5 kill shots as a gift! He had 120 k hp, and went straight down. I know the damage to GCD some one is there, even with avg. 320 item lvl gear. But arena is another cenario, so just have to wait and see

    Keep at it.

Until you have a fair amount of honor gear, you cannot be sure of the true potential of the team.
And the Conquest Bow/Crossbow/Gun, will be a rather large upgrade when you get it.
Once you have the tools, and you've played a bunch of games to learn what works and what needs to be changed...
Then you can decide the viability of the team.

Battlegrounds will place you a tier of gear behind the current best (arena/ratedBG's).
But with full Honor gear, you should be rather dominant in a lot of BG's.
Maybe not so much in the confines of a tower, but I'd imagine an AB style game (or AV between objectives) the Hunters would rock.

There are quite a few players out there with massive Resiliency.
I'd strongly consider paying if need be, to run 2's with your Hunters.
Conquest points cap each week is the most important thing.

Thanks for all tips guys, best community ever been doing some BGs after Ive dinged, not as much as Id hope! Losing alot of BGs due to the fact some ppl cant play BGs, kinda annoying tbh. So today I met a full pvp geared warrior and rogue in Iland of conquest or something (they engaged me). Both got raped by my hunters, main toon had around 50 % hp left, alts around 80 % hp! Gonna try to put together some clips this weekend from BGs

BG's can be annoying, based purely on your teammates.

Recently, I rush Frost Wolf Keep (AV) with five other players.
We take the Reserve Hut, and one guy stays there.

I move to the choke point, the hill coming up the the entrance area.
I have to watch the entrance and the opening in the fence, but either way they basically have to go through me.
A resto druid is there with me, and the extra healing is nice; we repel several groups of 1-5 players.

The other three players tap East & West towers.

After a while the horde retakes the East tower.
So I head in, evidently a rogue/druid has snuck past me..
I run up the tower we still hold.. and the rogue finishes re-capping this one too.
I kill the rogue with ease, five on one.

    What sucks, and the kicker...
There are three alliance in this tower, who did not stop the rogue from capping the tower.
    They're just standing there.

    Sometimes your team just sucks.
Not much you can do about that.
