Of course some pratice is needed, but been playing hunter since TBC. And really feeling optimistic about this team. Atleast more then my ele shamans which suck atm. Something to spend my time on while waiting for blizzard to wake up and give ele shamans the burst they deserve

    Lets talk tacticts here!

What target to go for first?

Id pick targets based on health pools, but mostly on classes who cant pop "Shield" abilities like mages with iceblock, hunters with deterrence, palas with divine shield, priests with that gay purple cloud.
The perfect target would be shamans, druids and locks perhaps. Thou locks have some insane healing abilities.

    What specc for arena?

Leaning more and more for MM specc, chimera shot which heals you for 5 % is pretty sweet. And you got readiness which finished all your cooldowns, meaning you have 8 x freezing traps to CC melee swarming you. BUT BM is also kinda sweet, insane dmg for a limited amount of time, and having insane pet dmg which gives your team pretty awesome buffs.

Which healer is the best for this combo?

A resto druid would be nice, running in stealthed with my hunters. And staying @ range of the opposing team. Making them split apart, trying to find my team. Giving me the opportunity to pick a target and nuke down before their DPS/Healers can react. Holy pala is awesome aswell, but then Id blow my cover by giving him all the buffs from pets and myself. The opposing team would see what buffs he had, and probably group together behind a pillar waiting for that reveal-all-stealthed-mofos orb to come up.

    Pets?

Id go for silithid for stamina buff and web ability, devilsaur for 5 % critt and 10 % reduced healing, raptor for 12 % armor debuff (clothies will die), and the last pet would either be a cat for str/agi buff or a owl for 10 sec dissarm every 30 sec which kinda rocks.

    Gems?

Again it depens on what specc, for MM id go for pure agi gems, but for BM Id go for pure AP.

    Opening wave?

Running in camo`ed, laying down 3 x freezing traps and 1 frost trap to prevent melee swarming me giving me some time to reposition if they start humping my hunter legs. Then send in pets to your target, and popping all you got. BM would rock here with insane dmg, pet stuns and such. Too bad we cant use bloodlust/heroism/time warp anymore in arena. Core houd got that ability, and that would rock in arenas :/

You could try a twink bracket.

If you go 70, in the 70-74 bracket, you can do arena too.
If you go 72 or 74, you're stronger in battlegrounds, but cannot do arena.

The 70-74 is a very populated twink bracket.
Lots in the 80-84 bracket too, but not sure if that will remain a twink bracket or if it is people leveling up.

If you go with a twink bracket...
A single weekend of dedicated play, will get you a full set of PvP gear including weapons.
Which will never need to be upgraded.
You'll equal everyone else for Best In Slot, at least for PvP gear.
So you'll win, based on your coordination, timing or skill.
And will not lose because they outgeared you.

Not sure how Hunters will fare in the higher twink brackets.
But doesn't hurt to experiment in each bracket, to see if you like one.
If you do, disable experience and you're set.
If you don't, continue to level.

So far Ive rocked every bracket and BG since I started leveling, hunters are simply OP in low lvls, similar to rogues you'd say! Talked to some high rated hunters @ lvl 85 and they keep telling me about 25-35 k critts on full pvp geared ppl, so cant wait to actually verifie this

Update on my 5 hunters rocking Northrend atm!

    Utgarde Keep
    Violet Hold
    Azjol-Nerub
    Ahn`kahet: The Old Kingdom
    Drak`Tharon Keep
    Gundrak
    Halls of Stone
    Halls of Lightning
    Utgarde Pinnacle
    The Nexus
Trail of the Champion -- What a fucking shitty instance, damn mount fight, damn splash dmg!! Lost 2 hunters @ the last 10 % on the death knight. But when I ding 80 ill probably run trough this like a hot knife in butter.

All done on normal mode, havent tried the other dungeons, BUT did these without any problems, now that my hunters have misdiretion, my tank bear can pwnd through large pulls without losing aggro. Havent countered alot of splash dmg so far, but UP gave me some nasty poison debuffs I had to splitt my group in being able to survive it Bosses die fast, and loot is raining Thinking about upgrading to wrathfull bows once I hit 80 with my alts. What do you guys think? save the honor and wait for Cataclysm greenies or upgrade my bows?

    Status on Lvl:

    Retardbow 78, 2/3
    Cpbow 78, 2/3
    Pewbow 79, 1/3
    Crabsbow 78, 2/3
    Butterbow 82, 1/4

You know where I can get the first Cataclysm ranged wep @ lvl 80? Cus the wrathfull bow is pretty sweet, would be a huge upgrade from what I have now. Currently running with a 156 dps gun, and the wrathfull bow got like 298 dps on it.
