I guess what you lose in individual control you make up for in synchronization. I guess your both set up for 5 man partys which is why you only have 2 healers and not the 3 my guild takes to kara?
We took my holy priest to maiden instead of my prot pally, so we had 3 healers for that fight. It's not like the prot pally is going to dish out uber heals or dps during that fight.

These videos are all from our first 2 days in Kara -- if Curator hadn't bugged out who knows how far we'd make it. (I'm guessing Aran, since he takes some learning)

What we did here was have the shammies focus on Dorothee while the mages focus on Strawman (fire mages, yay). The tanks each get their own (pally picks up the dog, Tito), and when Strawman/Dorothee is dead, kill Tito. Kite the tinman around since the pally will have a significant threat lead while roar is being killed. Then kill tinman and spread out for the crone phase. Usually you get a chance to drink for the crone but I ran right into a tornado when I was prepping to spread out. >.< Crone is relatively tank and spank -- by this time it's a fight for mana/regen. We didn't even bother healing the raid since we didn't want to waste mana on OOM dps. Burst her down and win. Normally you'd avoid the tornadoes but... eh... we didn't have the coordination.
