DK Blood x 4 - ISBoxer setup

I'm still playing with how i want pestilence to and outbreak to work.

currently I'm adding a 15 second round robin on pestilence, so hopefully it occurs 4 times a minute - due to GCD and spam of other abilities this is not always the case.

Then I need to try and get pestilence to go off - but not too often... I think I will just have to take a char out of the dps for a few seconds to cast both pestilence and outbreak instead of relying on luck... but i'll leave that for another night.

Also just realised I don't use rune tap - better put this in.

I haven't paid so much attention to spreading of diseases than i have making sure death strike was up constantly and I had all runes on CD.

Tons of self healing - and it's all macro'ed through isboxer - so no GUI setup to try it out.

this is cool and all, but what exactly are you trying to accomplish with 4 blood dks? lol is this for PVE or PVP?

I'm not the OP, and I don't use ISBoxer (yet), but I can tell you that the 4 Blood DKs could be for BOTH PvE and PvP.

I'm working on 4 DKs myself, currently lvl 70. As I did Frost DK + 4 Ret pallys in Wrath, I rolled them with the specific goal of being Frost for chaining AoE CCs and slowing mass targets with Howling Blast. Not sure what I was doing wrong this time around, but after using Blood from lvl 64 to 69 and then trying to go back to Frost once I reached HB, I found that neither the consistent damage nor the useful CC was what I expected it to be.

I'm back to Blood now and loving it. Pwning in BGs easily even though I'm only 70 in the 70-74 bracket, and UK runs are going so smoothly that the random healers are the ones asking me for the requeue.

I'll stop with the hijack now and get my own thread going on this later, but I wanted to help clear up the point of Blood spec immediately.

I haven't tried blood in PVP yet, but I will. For PVE with a PUG healer or my own lvl 85 holy paladin, they are great. DPS (3-4k atm lvl82) isn't bad and survivability is excellent!

@lvl 82 I did the first boss in the first cata instances without a healer, just 4blood dk, I'm sure I could do more instance content without the healer - but I was simply just testing my setup.

Healer's vary, some get bored and leave because they don't need to do much, some think it's great to watch and a few have equated it to being 'boosted' because we were completing instances so quickly.

Atm iam 76, and blood works so nice for instance runs. I didnt try BG to much, but i will switch to Frost when iam 85.

I will explain words what the setup does.

Space bar is my DPS key which I heat repeatedly.

On downpress it does Death Strike and a Outbreak round robin which is set to cast Outbreak on each character at 15 second intervals.

On release comes everything else.

Bone Shield
Trinkets
Vampiric Blood
Rune Tap (all glyphed!)
/castsequence Heart Strike, Pestilence, Heart Strike, Heart Strike, Heart Strike, Heart Strike, Heart Strike....
Death Strike x 8 (repeated many times to ensure as many as possible

Dancing Rune Weapon


The glyped rune tap is a nice way to get a heal across the party to top you up ready for the fight and then during.

Glyphed Rune Tap with 4 DKs = 25% heal across the entire party on 30 sec cooldown. For PvP, wait until your DBM countdown says you have about 15 seconds left to enter the BG and nearly every time all 4 will end up in the last group.

I've been playing as double blood in 2s with my 4 DKs.

For each pair, I play enough games to win 5 games for points. So far, my rating is 1350.

I finally got my pvp weapon, so this should definitely help.

Most games against double dps, I easily win. Against healer + dps, it usually drags on for a while until their healer runs out of mana.

Some comps will beat me everytime, such as double frost mages or hunter+mage.
