    Actually, it's not.

I know a whole bunch of 5-boxers who drop one and 4-box in arenas. And of course, there's Ellay. But as far as I know, there is no "good" 5-boxer arena team makeup that's the "best", because without a dedicated brain for your healer, you're going to get curb stomped.

    ah crazy mr. norton.
The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving. It saves on introductions and goodbyes.

Please allow me to rephrase. What are the highest achieved arena rankings by one brain multi-boxiing, and what class make up got it. (for 2v2, 3v3, 5v5.)
And there is no search function to look up this info.
And to the guy that posted the Curbstomp video, we all could do without seeing that.

Hey madmax, one of the beauties about dual and multi-boxing right now is that it is still in the "dawn of dual-boxing" meaning if you had to break down the 3 stages of one's life, infant - teenager - adult. We are still infants in terms of the possibilities that we can accomplish. I think that is what adds an extra amount of excitement to the community.

There really has been no representation of 2v2 and 3v3's, and only a minor amount in the 5's. It's really out there for the taking and breaking new grounds. I'm sure we can give advice but nothing is set in stone yet.

I dont know of anyone on the boards that has given arena's with all 5 toons multiboxxed a serious run. Lots of people in arena's but it seems a more casual approach & most people bring in a live healer friend.

I can't speak for others here, but I gave it a run with 4 mages & a priest in Quest Greens/Blues at 70, & proceded to die a lot. I think the problem was:
    34% Gear
35% My lack of individual Skill or experience
    50% poor math skills.

I think in general I agree with Ellay, or as Uncle Ingvar would say "Most things remain to be done, A glorious future".

I play a priest and lock and it's tough, i just have the priest throwing binding heals the whole time and a few dots and use his fear, the lock is a new 70 so his +damage isn't enough to take down 2 people while the priest tries to keep them alive...All in all i think it's probaly better to do arenas with 2, or 3 or 5 of the same class. seems to make it alot easier from what i've bene reading.

Oh and btw, Quix that is one of the coolest pic i've seen ever.

Let them hate, as long as they fear.

I know this is somewhat of a necro thread, but I'll add a bit of reasoning to my opinion.

Healers are the hardest class to play in battlegrounds, because playing a healer DEMANDS situational awareness. You can't just have an assist macro and let someone else pick the targets. A healer must be aware of who is most likely to be attacked first (often times it's the healer himself), who is capable of interfering with healing, and when it's better to play offensively (purging, dispelling, power infusion'ing, buffing, psychic scream) during a spike as opposed to defensively to prevent a spike. Yes, a healer is dynamic -- the goal of a healer is not always "cast spells to make the green bar get bigger" -- it's also "assist the dps so that they can make sure enemy health bars get smaller".

A healer must know ahead of time whether the elemental shaman is within earth shock range, or whether the shaman/mage/rogue is talented enough to know when the right time to interrupt is. A healer needs to know his enemy because without your healer, PARTICULARLY in 1 healer + 4 dps setups, you CANNOT make any mistakes. They need to know whether they should save their psychic scream for an incoming zerg rush, or use it to keep the mortal striking warrior from generating too much rage.

Sure, you can try to run your own healer, but you will never be as successful as a competent healer with a dedicated brain. There is just too much micromanagement required for healers to be able to effectively play two roles at once (healer + dps).
