    Default Some SM Boosting numbers

I have some screenshots of boosting my alt through SM Arm-> Cath

With Looting i was getting about 26K EXP/hr

Once the bags are full and the tank doesn't need to be repaired i stop looting.

Once i stopped looting my EXP/hr shot up by 10K making me fly through the levels.

I do this but i lvl 4 alts at a time with my pally boosting them :P , all my chars above 45 now easy cake!

Also note that the more people in your party the higher the group bonus = faster lvling

Iodine.. holy crap. Click on the Perl X Frames button next to the map, then drag & drop your character bars up to the top and out of the middle of the screen! How do you play with all that blocking your view? That would drive me nuts..
    Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

    Is that normal boosting xp/hour?

I'm asking because my group of Paladin + Mage + Mage + Mage + Priest (all level 25 now) is getting 24k/hour in SM, and I don’t know if I'm just doing that well or if boosting doesn’t help as much as I though it did ?(

My group is an AE group, that might be the difference

Level makes a difference as well. The cap is based on the level difference, so as the alt levels up they'll get more experience per kill. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it's like you get 50xp at level 20, 55 at 21, 61 at 22, etc until the mob cons green. PL'ing mobs much higher than you (SM at level 25) is pointless, as you'll get the exact same exp per kill killing lower level stuff (like stockades for alliance.) So raw XP/hour is semi meaningless, % of level per run is a better measurement. From 18 to 25 my alt got just under 25% of a level per clear of stockades at about 8 minutes per run.

I'm not sure at what point a 5-man group no longer becomes the "sweet spot," if ever, but for Deadmines/Stockades/SM, you always want 5 people in the group. The group split penalty is above the level difference cap, so you get the exact same base XP as you would with 2 players PLUS the group bonus. When PL'ing my alt I would always offer free runs through the instances so I would maximize the group bonus.

I moved to SM at 25 on the sole reason i was able to clear and loot stockades faster than my lock out time .. so i was getting locked out for 30 mins at a time or so. then it would get messed up .. my alt would be locked out but not my main .. etc .. since i went to SM i just hop from armory 2 pull and loot to cath 2 pull and loot .. never hit a lock out since.

You can only manage 24-39k xp per hour 2 pulling the cath?
I'm pretty sure I did better than that as a lock, and only leveling 1-2 characters at a time. Best I could do was like 5 pulls.
I never considered that to be fast either.
