    Default So much hate...

    Far more often than not, I get so much hate in BG's. I know what we do may be overwhelming for some. But it seems more and more of the player base seem content with spiting me as a boxer and losing the BG purposely instead of using 5 toons to an advantadge.

    Does anyone else encounter this?

    If I ever get WSG I tend to always leave, for their sake, but Battle for Gilneas, EoTS, and such where we can really shine I see people ignore flags, run around, farm HK's. Then we start losing because I can't take 2 flags, fight 7+ with constant rez'ing....

    The hate starts in the beginning of the BG, and only gets worse as 1-2 dickheads ignore the BG objectives and go on their little angry tirade then blame me for the loss.

    Do you guys even queue for the smaller Random's? Do you encounter this much hate?

    I am not disheartened, if I lose I still get 30 Honor for the loss plus another 20-35 honor during the BG. I am just annoyed where the player base is heading.

    There is hate in BG's regardless of whether or not a person boxes. Boxers just make for easy targets.

    In our battlegroup, I found the level of maturity to be pretty low. The BG's need clear leaders who shout directions at the start of each match. Otherwise, it's as you say - a group of morons running around not contributing anything. You could take on that role and shout exactly what you are going to do and what everyone else should focus on.

    Ignore the haters. People's BG chat is often inversely proportional to their contributions. If they are really pissing you off, just flag them afk x5 over and over again.

    I basically queue one of three ways.

    If the weekend BG is good, I queue for that.
    Good for me, means a large player pool.
    As I do a lot better is the bigger BG's than the smaller.
    I sometimes queue for the BG weekend, even when it is one that sucks to box, as it seems to be the best honor per hour, when a team is gearing up.

    Second choice is the Random.
    That is more honor than any specific BG, if it isn't a BG Weekend.
    The larger BG's where we have a better chance to win are ideal.
    The smaller BG's which are much less boxing friendly, generally losing these quickly is the best honor (I never play to lose).

    My third choice is to queue for a specific BG, usually Alterac Valley.
    That is consistently the most fun for me.
    I'll often queue for this, at least half the time, over the Weekend BG or Random BG.
    Just because you have to enjoy the game, not just go for the best honor per hour.

    This + a ton.

    I wonder... if boxing different kinds of toons makes any difference. When I run in with 4 priests, people love me. When I come in with 4 rogues... well, actually, no ones commented yet.

    Just switch to combat log and do your thang ;>

    Thats what i do...

    Based on my experience i've noticed that people like multiboxing A LOT or not at all (they can't stand it). No one is in the middle.

    I see this type of thread every few months and think that the general populace really doesn't have a fuC*(#$(King clue. I've gotten mixed reviews but generally you get three types of people:

    1. they friggin love you, and cheer you on/defend you when flames go a' flamin
    2. the friggin hate you and think you're the reason we're losing this AB, not because they're following you around watching you and not capping flags or healing you, but just watching you do your thing... they blame you for whats wrong and dont help at all
    3. the ones who think you're cheating or hacking, so instead of helping out and trying to win, they follow you around the whole time, not helping, not healing, not capping flags, and constantly trying to goad you into chatting or flaming them so they can report you, or they spam afk reports

    I look at it like this, make a macro that explains the strat you're going to follow, and a suggestion of what everyone else should be doing. This should help with the goal of "lets try to win" and puts you in the role of director. i have a click bar that runs a keybind that runs these macros... tho you could setup an action bar with this stuff, i like having it work for all my teams that i pvp with so the clickbar comes in handy. Also have on that clickbar stuff like /bg Cap the flag for me plz, /bg need help at... one button for each node in each bg. its a big clickbar but its off to the side and it has small buttons lol

    Make a macro that says "check the scoreboard and get educated before you blame me for the loss, i'm doing my job... how about you do yours" <-- that usually shuts them up or gets them to /afk out lol. Once they see you're topping kills and getting the most honor they really cant argue that you're not being helpful...

    With that being said, i like negativ's comment the best... sometimes its just best to shut off the chat window and go for broke and wtf pwn some nubs as best you know how and forget the flamers... if they want to waste their bg time chatting that you suck, more power to them, you're STILL getting more honor per game than they are lol

    I'd go with this. People aren't THAT stupid. THey'll pull up the score panel at the end of the match and see:

    [Boxer1] = OMG KILLS - BBQ DMG
    [Boxer2] = OMG KILLS - BBQ DMG
    [Boxer3] = OMG KILLS - BBQ DMG
    [Boxer4] = OMG KILLS - BBQ DMG
    [Boxer5] = OMG KILLS - BBQ DMG
    ...
    [Whiner] = 2 assists; no caps; 8200 DMG

    It will be obvious who was slacking.

    In general, I don't really care what BG chat is saying about me.

    They can praise me, because boxing is cool.
    They can blame me for losing, or even blame me for causing their victory to be slower (yes, have had that).
    And I don't really care what they say.

    I really like the idea of the Clickbar.
    With your general strategy, and what they can be doing for the win.
    I have had macros for... need help at wherever.
    But... cap the flag please, and similar is a great idea.

    If I get flagged as AFK, because someone is an idiot.
    I return the favor, with the macro posted by the Legion of Boom guys in another thread (it reports anyone not from your server as AFK; with all your guys doing it, everyone else in the BG is reported AFK).
    And then just farm honor, to stay in combat.
    /run for i=1,GetNumRaidMembers()-1 do local unit = "raid"..i local name,realm = UnitName(unit) if(realm) then ReportPlayerIsPVPAFK(name.."-"..realm) end end

    Yes, I get a LOT more hate on alliance than when I was horde. I fucking hate the fucking alliance. It's filled with a bunch of fat angry nerds who bitch about anything and want to have everything easy. The only thing that keeps me from going back to horde is the instant queue times on alliance. If it wasn't that I would faction change in a hearbeat and camp alliance assholes all day long. Fucking losers...

    Oh and yea, one time they hated me a lot because I made them win a WSG too fast. They said they wanted to camp the horde, not win fast. Fucking scumbags...

    And don't get me started on AV... all I can say they are a bunch of pussies who want to SKIP GALV because horde defend him. Then they go into towers like 2-3 ppl and everyone else runs south and they don't defend the towers, they stare at eachother on the fucking mound in front of the boss room. And they lose every single tower, unless I get into one to defend it. Fucking alliance terribles. I fucking hate them back so hard.
